Hi, first post here (also a long one- apologies) and some back round.. Having only picked a club up and playing casually since 2015 with a starter set, i decided 2 years ago that i needed to upgrade as i wanted to take it more seriously. I had a fitting at american golf with the irons i liked the look of and ended up with some AP3's (5-PW) which i hit ridiculously well and a couple of vokeys (52* bent to 51* + 58*). Having never used anything except irons my whole 'career' and playing to around 20 handicap (managed a freak 79 somehow too), a year later i went for a 917D2. Before i could take it out on the course i had an accident and broke my leg so everything was on hold. I started swinging the clubs again April/May this year and a couple of rounds ago brought the driver out and i'm already posting lower scores. I went for a fitting last week at american golf for a 818h and i was suited better to the H1 which i agreed with however they only had the 21*. I asked whether he thought i should go for 15* 917f2 (didn't have 1 in store so couldn't be fitted for that) and 19* H1 or 16.5* and 21*, he said the latter and i'm thinking he said that because he wanted me to buy the 21 there and then which i didn't.. Wouldn't i be better with former with the ability to adjust them up? Also with adjusting them up, it will close the club face and help with the bad shot tendency which is a slice? I feel i'm at a stage where titleist fittings are a fair few stages ahead of where i am and i just need to learn how to hit these clubs I've never hit or played with before. Any help and advice on this or just in general would be greatly appreciated, thanks..
