  1. OK so not trying to panic, but being here in Mission, BC, Canada (about 45 mins from Vancouver) a friend just told me he went to purchase a TS2 from Golf Town nearby and they didn't have any left. Also they had dropped the price to 349.00 and thats probably why. And about 2 weeks ago I booked online a Titleist Thursday fitting for the end of August. Now I have looked online at golf town and sure enough, they have none available. So I am curious if I do fit into the TS2/3 will I be able to get one from Titleist or am I getting fit for nothing?

Im in the US, but I placed an order through my pro shop about three weeks ago for a Ts2 Driver, 3 Wood and Hybrid. They all just shipped directly from Titleist, so while golf shops might be running out it looks like Titleist has some stock still. If you're getting fit there is a chance that you will have custom specifications and wont be able to buy off the rack.

If I were in your shoes I would wait till later in the year to get fit as that's when the new Titleist woods are predicted to be released.

Titleist has stock of the TS2/TS3 woods. The quoted shipping time is currently 2-3 weeks for standard clubs. I expect to see new woods (fairways / drivers) later this fall. You should see some good pricing on the current TS line when the new ones are announced.

Whatever woods the TT has for fitting will be available to order at that time. Who knows - it may even be the next series by then.

Golf retailers have no guidance on how much inventory to stock this year. That they don't have items on the rack is not surprising but no indication of what Titleist has for custom orders. Golftown should be willing to order a TS2 at the $349 price, but that's their choice. What they don't want to do is have an inventory of the last model going into the winter.

I wouldn't even buy a driver off the rack for $349 - if I guess wrong on loft and shaft, that is a mistake that will at least be $150 loss just to order a different shaft. By experience - I would guess wrong. I have never come out of a fitting with my preconceived idea of what the final configuration would be.
