  1. To start, I have been fit for both and numbers seem similar. I have had my current irons (non titleist) for 15 years. They are a wilson "tour" cavity back with very traditional lofts. I am a current 3.9 hdcp -- and trending down.

For me, I typically keep clubs for long term (other than wedges).

I am torn between T100 and 620 CB. Curious to know anyone's opinion. I feel like I lean more towards the CB but would love to hear any information that may help change or solidify my decision. Thanks in advance!

Think I’d go with the CB just because they have more of a tour’ish look and to my eye they have a thinner top line.
  3. CBs are what I went with too. I was fit last week for the T100 and CB as well. The CB just felt better, sounded better and gave me more consistent ball flight and yardage.

If you lean towards the CB, that is fine. While the T100s are a great club, the CB we for me.

I would wager there will be more T100 sets in play on tour than 620CB. I’ve played 710, 714 and 716CBs. 716 long irons were an improvement with the use of tungsten aiding forgiveness. Just been fitted in to T100 and looking forward to them arriving. T100 will be more forgiving, whilst still offering a compact head and thin top line. Everyone is different. If there is negligible performance difference based on your fitting data then go with what you feel most comfortable with. You could consider a combo set to get the best of both.
  5. I recently bought the CB 7,8,9 and PW.
Now I need to replace my 4,5and 6 irons with more forgiving clubs but who actually sells those 3 seperate T-100's?

I would say that you can't go wrong with either choice. Have you thought about doing a combo set? CBs in lower irons and T100 irons in the mid to long irons?

You did say something interesting that your current handicap is 3.9, but trending downwards and your current set, you seemed to have been playing for a while. To think longer term, if you were to keep these irons for longer, the T100 irons might be a better choice as they are a bit more forgiving than the CBs. So if your game in trending downwards, but I don't think it will be for long, since the Titleist clubs will help get your game back to where you want it to be, it can help with a lot of different factors long run.

As Larry D. mentioned, I believe the T100 irons (old AP2s) are their most popular irons on tour and even with amateurs.

But the best thing about clubs these days is that you can mix and match whatever you want and it costs the same. Since you fit, you have all the specs and you were going to have to order a customer set (I believe), so all you have to do is wait for them to be delivered.

Let us know what you end up going with and how you like them once you've had a chance to hit them.

    Both are great options, Seth.

As much as I'd go for performance/numbers over 'looks', in your case I guess your mind is set on the 620 CBs since there was no major difference in performance.

I'd like to know how much did the degree (1°) difference 620 CB /T100 as of 6i impact your game/numbers against your Wilson CB during the fitting?

    I.e.,

What degree loft will you be going for? Will you be getting the whole iron set T100 3-W or 620 CB 3-P?

  8. Thanks everyone for their input. To clarify a few things...

My handicap trending down (number going down) -- I meant getting better, not worse. My ball striking has always been great, my downfall is putting and around the green (which recently needs serious work).

I ended up going with the T100, I discussed with my local pro and just found the little bit of extra forgiveness was worth it. Both top lines, at least in my eye is thin and gives a tour / players look which I really like.

I also went back and had some more numbers done and did have about 5 more yards carry with the T100.

I placed order for T100 with tour issue dynamic gold S400 and hope they will be in in a few weeks.

Thanks again everyone for their input!

Let us know how it goes. I am also looking at the T100 and CBs and would like to your experience after playing a few rounds. My biggest concern is accuracy. I play 714CBs with DG S300 shafts, and feel like those are really dialed in. I don't want to give that up.
