Ap1 718 head weights

    Hi. I’ve got a bit of a strange questions...

    Do the 718 ap1 iron heads weigh the same as the men’s?

    Reason I ask is I’m thinking of reshafting a ladies 48* wedge with a men’s shaft but not sure if it would work swing weight wise...

    Any thoughts are much appreciated.

    Iron Heads are divided into three categories essentially...Light Head, Std and Heavy Head. Iron heads are not made by gender but rather by swing weight. If someone requests a C7 swing weight in an iron AP1, T100, T400 etc... they will be made to that swing weight. A lot of factors come into play such as weight of grip, shaft etc... not just the weight of the head.

    I would speculate that your iron head will be heavier than needed for a women's/lighter swing weight. Unless you shorten the club substantially which is what typically happens anyways.

    Contact Titleist customer service and give them the serial number off your iron and see if they have an opinion.
