    Question: I'm afraid that I bought used a forged iron 3. ap2 714. How much should the head alone weigh ??? I found one piece of information that would weigh 259.4g, is this correct information? The iron texts seem correct, but the feel is lighter than iron 4.

    The heads come from a third party. The weight tolerances are not especially tight. Titleist sorts them and based on the order, will match heads to requested swing weights and match the head weight adding hot melt if necessary to achieve the sw.

    You can check the swing weight and see if you need to add weight to the head.

    Looking at head weight specs from manufactures 3 irons weights from 238 to 245 grams- 259.4 seems extreme- more in line with a 5 iron.
