Driver shaft weight relative to 3/5 woods

    A 55 gram shaft in a 3/5 wood seems to be really working for me and 65 grams in the driver shaft. Is it okay to do this? Why is it working for me?

    Everyone I’ve asked says to put a heavier shaft in the woods, but I wasn’t able to hit a 65 or 70 gram wood as effectively as the 55 gram. And the 55 gram in the driver was way too light.

    Results and feel is all that matters.. traditionally players have a 3 wood shaft 10g heavier than driver but more tour players are starting to use the same weight in driver and 3-wood. If you’re hitting it good who cares.
