I am currently in the process of upgrading my bag. I am currently playing Titleist 915F 3(21), 4(24), and 5(27) hybrids. It seems like the stagger between the lofts changed from 3 degrees to 2 degrees starting with the Titleist 818 hybrids and continues with the Titleist TS2. I was wondering what the rationale for the change in the lofts. It seems like with only 2 degrees separation, the yardage between the clubs won't vary much. Maybe there is some type of compensation in the technology. I am going to get fitted for the hybrids, but I would rather go in knowing something about the technology and clubs versus relying on the fitters knowledge ONLY. Any information, opinions, and/or experiences you can share would be greatly appreciated.
