To Titleist I have TS3 driver, TS3 3 wood and TS3 5 wood all with Hzrdus Smoke shafts stiff, 6.0 For the driver, it is a 60 gr 6.0 for the woods, they are 70 gr in 6.0 I just verify the cpm with a Mitchell shaft frequency meter and here are the results: Driver, 45,5 inch standard club CPM 258 (seem to be correct) Fairway wood 15 deg. 43 inch standard, CPM 276, (to much high) Fairway wood 18 deg. 42 inch standard CPM 264 ( a bit low for a 5 wood)

These 3 clubs were bought new from Golftown and were not modified. To me the 15 degree seem to be more stiff, it is not a 6.0. It is more a like a 6.5 The 18 degree seem to be in the weak side, look like a 5.5.

What could you do for me now. I would like a better match for the fairway woods. These clubs were bought new in December 2018.

Call Customer Service. This is a forum of users and not a place where a Titleist would respond to a complaint or concern. The shafts are not made by Titleist therefore any inconsistencies would really be the responsibility of the shaft manufacturer. Also, two years to raise a concern seems a bit beyond normal warranty times. Not meaning to offend but if you post in the open forum, expect all opinions. If you don't want that, just call Customer Service and avoid the open posts. Hopefully you find a reasonable solution to your concern.

    Dale V,
Sorry about wrong forum,I did not know where to address the problem.
Few years ago, Cathy from Titleist was helping a lot with these problems.

It is not a complaint about equipment, I only want to know what to do exacly.

Regarding the inconsistencies of the shaft, I do not think Projectx will do anything for me, the client who purchased the shafts is Titleist not me.
Your right, 2 years is well past the guarantee time, but With the pandemic, I had time to check all the specs of my clubs.

I will follow your advice and I will try to call Titleist customer service.

Some of the fitters at brick and mortar are good and then some will be good part time sales clerks. I always go to a certified Titleist fitter and mine has over thirty years experience in club fitting, not only in Titleist clubs but all the leading brands and is in high demand. The key to a good fitting is the correct components. All of my shafts are from the same manufacturer Fujikura and have learned the importance the consistency and ease of hitting my Driver, Fairway and hybrids........getting a good fitter is very important and read some reviews regarding Golf Town up in Canada. Many mixed reviews and not a place I personally would go for a fitting, as I would not go to a brick and mortar here in the states. I want someone who is full time and is certified by the manufacturer. With respect.

SPECIAL NOTE: I agree with Dale, a little late to be complaining about a shaft you purchased two years ago, especially on an open forum. Should have taken this up with Golf Town, where you purchased it...with respect......best of luck......

Complaining about cpm on shafts that are two years old and have been in play for seemingly that amount of time seems a bit off. Stock shafts don’t have the same tolerances that small batch premium ones do. And yes, shafts do wear over time. If you’re that particular about the cpm you should be having custom built clubs specd out. Not off the rack ones.

I solve my problem. I bought a new shaft for my fairway wood.
    Case close.
