  1. Do any of y'all know why tour players do not use the 620 CB? That club seems like it would be perfect for a tour player who doesn't want an MB or a t100. Please give me your thoughts and please tell me if you know of any tour players who play the CB.

I pulled this from a Titleist article dated August 16, 2019

“ Following their tour debut at the U.S. Open, 620 CB and MB irons have already become two of the most played models on the PGA Tour. Webb Simpson (MB), Jimmy Walker (MB), Charles Howell III (CB), Patton Kizzire (CB/MB), Byeong-Hun An (CB/MB), Max Homa (MB) and Lucas Bjerregaard (CB) are among the growing number of players who have put 620 CB and/or MB irons immediately in play.”

  3. Hey woods,

Answering another one of your posts lol. I was wondering the same exact thing because I really like the look of the 718 CBs and I am not a fan of the look of the 620 CB.

The main difference between the two is that the 718 model has tungsten 2-7 iron (forged 1025 carbon steel body and spring steel face insert) and the 620 is none piece forged (not sure what type of steel), but is co-forged with tungsten in the 3 and 4 iron.

I am not on the product development team, but I think they changed this because the 718 CB was kind of like a cleaner smaller version of the AP2, and although the AP2 was popular, they didn’t want the CB cannibalizing sales in future models.

That said, I would say that the 718 CB is more forgiving than the 620, is a degree weaker than the T100 (6 iron through PW), and plays softer in the short irons than the T100.

I actually just bought a set of these recently because I was in love with them when they came out and never pulled the trigger on them. If you are pressed for cash they’re not a bad alternative to the T100 if you are comfortable with traditional lofts.
