  1. It's time to replace my irons and am looking for some advice. I'm a relatively low handicapper (playing a 5 or 6) but not playing consistently.

I'm currently playing DCI 755's, they have served me fairly well over the years, but I'm losing my feel with them and its time to part ways. Looking for something new to fall in love with. Ha ha.

    Thoughts?

So many options. Best bet is to schedule a fitting and try a few different models. You probably will gravitate towards T100's but lots of folks like the T100S or the T200. Might even find the T300 works for you. Key is not listening to what we use but to find the one that fits you best and gives you confidence on the course. Good luck and enjoy.

Depending on what you and your fitter decide, you might be happy with the 620 CB, T100, T100s, or T200. Too much money to guess on the wrong one for optimal setup.

If you're looking at new... T200 or T300. Used, check out some AP2's.

As is always suggested in these pages, go to a Titleist Thursday event or find the nearest Certified Titleist Fitter in your area. Of course, If you live near Oceanside, CA or Manchester Lane in MA that would be the ultimate in fitting. I'm fortunate to live about 12 miles from Floridian Golf Club, which has the Butch Harmon Golf School and Certified Titleist Fitter Ryan Chrysler who is one of the best there is.
  6. Go to your local Titleist club fitter and hit the new T-series irons. This helped me out when trying to decide.

Best advice I can give is to get fit, and to be open minded. As Dale mentioned, you could wind up with the T-100, T-200 or T100s.Going into a fitting with nope conceived notions will serve you best in the long run.

No pre conceived notions is what I typed in my response. Don't you just hate it when spell check/auto fill comes up with something completely different than what you typed?

Fitting is a must, not only for performance but also aesthetics.

As well, be mindful of "jacked up" lofts on new irons - may need to change wedges as well.

I was in your shoes last year. I bought a set of CB 716 and absolutely love them. I had been using AP2s. The CB are just as forgiving but with enhanced feel. I also love the smaller heads.

Get Fit, it is the best way to get what is best for your swing. You can see all the irons in one place and hit them with your specs.

I'm getting new irons as well thinking T200. I'm a 7 hdcp, Played well with 981 oversize black switched 1/2 in long 2 deg upright to 714 AP1 same setup about 6 yrs ago and miss left most of time with AP1, never did with 981 could it be offset..?
  15. I've been playing the AP1 (2008) for quite some time and and I love them but Im ready to move into a newer set. I'm looking to get a used set still and was wondering which might be a smooth transition coming from AP1? I've gotten better but forgiveness is still a major factor for me...
