  1. I have a 20 degree 913hd hybrid golf club. The shaft that came with it is a Damiana 92hy stiff flex. I want to change this to a lighter shaft, probably the kuro kage black 63 gram stiff flex shaft. I have a question about the replaceable weight that comes with the hybrid. The one I have is a 6 gram(?). Is this standard. Do I need to change this when I switch to the lighter shaft? Someone gave me this club but I can't seem to hit it very well, hoping that the lighter shaft will help. Thanks in advance. Ken

You may need to go to a 9 or 11 gram weight. Good luck finding 913 weights, unless you already have a 913 weight kit.

If/when you can't find 913 weights a local club builder can check the swing weight and add hot melt/lead tape to get it to a swing weight you are comfortable. There are internet stores for non-local sites that do club building and you could send them the head with the specifications for shaft and swing weight.

If you already have access to the shaft with a Titleist 913-TS adaptor, that's fine. In quick checks with an after market Titleist hybrid adaptor, the retail price for a KK Black was over $200. You can still order a new TS hybrid with the KK Black shaft for $229. Or any shaft that is optimal at a fitting from the stock/no upcharge shaft options. You'd have to check with a pro shop to order a new shaft directly from Titleist for that price.
