What are members of team Titleist views on the choice of wedges and whether it is best to use the same as your irons or go for the Vokey option, and when will bye SM9 version be released

I have a T100s 48* wedge and a Vokey SM8 48* wedge. I find the Vokey to be a little shorter in distance but much more versatile in hitting various kinds of shots from the fairway and around the green. I have SM8 wedges in 48/10, 54/10 and 60/04 lofts and bounce. I also have another 56/10 that I bent to 54/08 to see if I can tell a difference. You have to find a practice green that will let you hit full shots and lots of half shots to tell what you will like.

    I play T300 irons (5, 6, 7, 8, 9, P, 48, 53) plus a Vokey SM7 58.12D wedge. All clubs fitted by Titleist/Vokey.

I have titleist 620mb irons and sm7 wedges. I don't think you need to have the same wedges as irons, you have to hit what you like and what feels good to you. I used to be a fan of cleveland wedges but never had cleveland irons. I got turned off if the cleveland wedges and tried a vokey and loved it so I switched over. Also need to make sure you find bounce and grind that match your swing and intended shot types.

I've had a set of png S-55 irons in the bag for years (4-PW). All my other clubs, save one, are Titleist including my two wedges a 54 degree Vokey SM7 s-10 and an older 58 degree Vokey

I have the 718 AP1 with pitching wedge and 48 degree wedge. From there I currently have a Vokey SM8 52/12 and a Vokey SM6 56/10. In addition I have a 48 degree SM5 and SM6, a 52 degree SM6, and a 56 degree SM5 with different bounce/grinds that I have used in different conditions, but right now the current setup seems to be working fine for majority of rounds. Also have a couple Mack Daddy 4's with high bounce that I have tried out too. I seem to play better overall with the high bounce wedges. Next wedge will probably be a SM8 56/12 or maybe the 56/14. Not sure yet, but if Titleist wants to send me both to demo I'm open

Have P & 43 in T400, 48/54F and 58S Vokey wedges. The T400 have stock graphite shafts and the wedges are all S200 stock wedge shafts. The 54/58 are not ever full swings and the 48 is mostly partial swings. The 43 is mixed use. The heavier wedges just feel easier to control on partial shots. The Vokey team pushed me to the S200 over my previous NS 950 shafts, glad they did. In the end, you need to decide for yourself on how you use the clubs and the feel you are looking for.

I have a set of cally irons and Titleist everything else, including Vokey wedges. Play what feels good and what you get the best results out of.
  9. I play the t100 irons and have the Vokey SM7 raw black wedges. Since the PW is 46* I opted for the 50.08*F gap, the 54.10*S that I bent to play 55.11* & the 60.08*M. That gives me 5* gaps thru my wedges as well as different bounce options around the green and playing conditions.
  10. Personal choice really, however, I carry 4 wedges from 46° to a 58°. I have always found that spin is much more predictable with a specialist wedge over an iron set wedge, ball doesn't jump as much out of rough and spin is also more consistent on short game shots.

I’ve always stopped at a gap wedge with the iron set and used separate wedges for sand and lob. My mindset is, Vokey is known for making brilliant wedges. I would almost bet Vokey wedges out perform any “iron set” wedges.
