  1. My old grips were crazy slick so decided to try and re-grip my clubs myself. I have a fair few champ grips lying around that I've never used.

I layered up the right hand to lessen the taper because it's more comfy imo.

I'm ready to golf when lockdown is lifted yay!!!

    They look awesome!

How do you think the process went? What equipment did you get to do this? Did you already have it or did you go out and buy some stuff to do the re-gripping?

Would you recommend others to re-grip themselves?

I'm always looking for a way to save a few bucks, as I think it's crazy that they charge $3-4 per club and they get them all done in about 10 minutes. I always like to learn new things and think it would be fun to re-grip my clubs.

I always regrip my own, have for years. I have smaller hands and like to stretch out the grip slightly. I do not bother with a vice and full grip station. Hardest part is removing old tape. I am sure there are a ton of YouTube videos out there. I just use the one inch tape and run it length ways and over the top of the shaft opening. Tape and grip solvent easy to find at retail golf shops. Ribbed grips require a bit more precision but still doable. Give it a try. If it turns out not to be something you want to mess with, at least you will know.
  5. Yeah it was fairly easy actually and you don't need many tools really. I've only done steel shafted clubs so far and would be a little worried about doing my woods I think.

    Stanley knife is a must!

I only use the vice just to get the grip just on then remove and push the club into the ground as my vice is a toy vice and not strong enough.

On eBay I got 14 champ grips for £24 they are similar in style to golf pride decade so half cord and half rubber.

I definitely recommend doing it ya self just watch a few re-grip videos on YouTube that's what I did.

I use to regrip all my clubs, but finally said what the heck, I let my friend at a local retail/repair shop do it for me while I wait and we talk about golf. They are always perfect and they always have what I need when I need it. I purchase all my equipment there, because they are a Titleist/FootJoy Retail Account. As a retiree, one luxury I choose to afford. Enough honey-do things on my plate. With respect. =)

It's really a simple process. You just want to have the right tools. I change my grips many times a season. I also do it for my golf buds when they need a change. I figured I probably do over 200 grips a year, so it was easy to justify this little gripping station from GolfWorks.
