Hi I have just got my new Titleist irons and have gone with graphite shafts this time, the bags I use are 2019 stadry cart bag and a stadry 4+ carry bag ( I also have a midsize tour bag ) Not sure about the risk of damaging my new shafts as the dividers in the stadry bag’s don’t at first glance look very graphite friendly. Anyone had any problems with graphite shafts using these bags please let me know, best I know than later.

    Cheers

Harry, I have a set of 718 T-MB's that have been in the bag for over 2 years now. Have carried them in a StaDry 4UP, a Players 4, and a Players 4 Carbon. The clubs show normal wear but I don't see any noticeable heavy wear at the point where they touch the bag that would concern me over shaft failure. They are Tensei Red Graphite shafts. If you are concerned enough to take additional measures, add some sheep skin material using double-sided tape to increase the protection. Cheers.

    Hi Dale
Thanks for responding, my shafts are also the tensei red and feedback after a two year period is reassuring

I think that shaft wear is more likely with woods than irons, due to the difference in shaft length. I don't think that I've ever had one bag where some shaft wear doesn't occur.

X2 what Dale said. I never had a problem with shaft wear.

I add to the motion. No problems noticed here. Staff bag, Staff carry bag, and 4up bag
  7. I have graphite KBS shafts on all my clubs for a few years now and there has been no noticeable scratches or damage to the shafts. I think you will be fine!

You can get a shaft tube from most sport box stores. I got one for my driver, since it's a custom painted shaft. No more shaft wear!

I was just at RBC Heritage and noticed some of the pros there had shaft wear/discoloration where their woods rubbed in the bag. They didn't seem to concerned as they smashed 300 yard plus drives.
