Not really. Club design is the real driver for forgiveness. The stronger lofts just give you a lower ball flight for the iron number on the clubhead. Some people get a bit hung up on what their distance is based on the number on the bottom of the club. My opinion is that it should not matter whether you are hitting a 7 iron or 8 iron as long as you know what distance it goes. For folks setting up a mixed set with T100 and T200, the T100S probably sets up better for distance gaps. But back to your question... no more forgiving. If you are already a low-ball hitter, the T100S might even make it harder for you to keep the ball from running out too much on the greens. If you are a high-ball hitter, T100S is probably the way to go. Oh and as for the title of the post, yes, some people do play T100S. :) Cheers!

The club is not more forgiving. But the 2 degrees of less loft coupled with an upright swing path is better for me. I think it the best iron Titleist has made for players like me. So far. Plus the club looks every bit as good as my ancient First Flight Standards in the hitting position.
  4. I play the T100-S and they are somewhat "forgiving" for a club that sets up like a blade at address, As a point of reference, last night I had 155 into a very shallow green and wanted to play the ball high and have it land soft with little to no roll out or significant back spin.....i pulled the 8 iron and sucessfully launched it very high.....higher than i actually wanted.....i was immediately concerned because I didnt flush it.....and hit it towards the toe....you could feel that it wasnt a real solid strike. 2 seconds later i realized the ball had a chance.....i left it out slightly right, but it was high and far enough....i hit the green and two putted for par.....i was a bit surprised the ball made it but this is what forgiveness is all about....i have found certain thin shots and slightly off center strikes still are reaching or getting very close to thier targets
