  1. Hi Everyone,

I am posting to get some feedback, hopefully from certified fitters or a Titleist rep. I had my TSi3 reshafted after having been refit at Club Champion. My original fitting was there but the shaft I was fit for was not quite working so I was able to have a refit and we agreed on a new shaft that had the feel I was looking for and great dispersion on Trackman. I picked up the new shaft and my original head today and was in a bit of a hurry with my wife in the car so I didn't quite notice what I noticed when I got home. The top of the ferrule that tapers into the shaft is missing. I am not sure if this will impact stability, performance or more importantly durability in the long run and wanted to get some thoughts on this group. More importantly I was a concerned with warranty issues as it relates to the head and the Accra shaft that is now installed. The fitter did take the adapter from the prior shaft and I know for a fact the ferrule was complete on that shaft. I have attached pictures below for feedback. I also did email the fitter for an explanation. The new shaft is an Accra FX 3.0 260 M4, replacing an Accra Tour Z RPG 352 M4. Thoughts are appreciated. If it's simply cosmetic, I can probably live with it, but would love thoughts around durability etc.

    Cheers,

    CJA

If you want to hear from Titleist, go to the customer service info below as they really do not routinely have technical advisors on the forum anymore. As for TT members here on the forum, I think pretty much everyone would say, go back to whomever did your install and get the ferrule installed. Not only will it protect the edges of the adapter, it should help with the overall connectivity between the shaft and the adapter. Good luck.

I thought Club Champion did their own in- house club building. In that case CC should respond. My understanding the Titleist warranty only extends to components supplied by Titleist. This sounds like an installation issue with CC.

Absolutely go back to where the shaft was replaced and get it fixed. Looks like someone there had a bit of a brain fart. If it were my shop, I would never have let you take it that way. It's plain wrong. Don't live with it.

Fitter Forgot the Ferrule. Needs to have the adapter removed and ferrule installed. You will notice this every time you tee it up.
