  1. How is it that my stock shot with the 990’s at the same loft against current player cavity clubs carry 10 or more yards? What’s the magic in the 990’s? Has to have something to do with head weight and weight placement. Can anyone offer a legit explaination?

There are more variables than loft. Is this after a professional fitting? Is this comparing T100 or 620 CB?
  3. Comp is new 921’s. Spin rate is about same, but 990’s launch a bit higher. Still struggling with understanding carry differences.

Well, this assumes that you have one or the other (or both sets) cranked for lofts, as the 990 should have about 4-5 degrees weaker lofts. There are a ton of variables that could be affecting this. If you have cranked lofts on one of them, you affect the performance greatly. Shafts, center of gravity, and playing the wrong ball can all lead to diminished distances.

Yes Brock….I strong lofted the 990’s 2 degrees when I ordered them in 2001. 990’s have S300 v X100 in the JPX 921’s. Same lofts in both sets but the 990’s just launch through a higher window and carry 5-10 more yards. I get drop and stop distance control w 990’s pretty much all the way. 921’s launch lower, lose some distance and release out more from 4-7. Head scratcher.
