  1. I recently bought a new SM8 off a genuine golf trader off ebay. I used it for a week then when I came to clean it noticed that the ferrule was badly damaged, the sticker laminate was blistered (tried to remove it and the sticker feel to bits) and the wear on the sole of the club was incredible. I also noticed West looks like very small patches of rust on the steel above the ferrule. The seller is saying that all of this is my fault? I've still got a couple of vokey wedges (sm7's) from a couple of years back that don't look anywhere near like this ‍♂️

Maybe someone tried to play a shot off a cart path or gravel and had a really bad club repairman try to fix the damage?

I have 3 - SM8's that look nothing like the one you have pictured. I have about 75 rounds with them. Looks like maybe your Ebay purchase wasn't completely accurate on the condition of the club.

Looks like pretty normal sole wear on a used club. Looks like my old SM8 60 degree that was my primary bunker club. Looked like that after less than a year of use... 180 rounds and many practice sessions.

My SM4 and SM5 46, 56, and 60 all look like that on the sole. The 60 is way worse. The ferrule and hosel looks like someone is very careless with their bag and clubs. or someone tried to use a flat head screwdriver and hammer the ferrule off the shaft and club head.
