Good morning all. Contemplating upgrading from my 718AP2’s (DG X100 TI shafts) to a combo set of T100S/T200 combo set (T100S PW-7 and T200 5-6 iron. Curious if this is an upgrade that would be worth it from a forgiveness stand point? I know I will gain some distance. I’ve truly loved the 718 AP2’s but I did demo a T100s 7 iron with the DG X100 shaft and I really liked it (I seemed to be more accurate that day on the range with the T100S 7 iron vs. my 718 AP2 7 iron). Part of me feels this won’t be an upgrade on a forgiveness stand point but can anyone confirm the added forgiveness of the T100S? I do assume the T200 (2021 version) will be more forgiving than the 718AP2.

Both the 2021 T200 and T100S irons are easily more forgiving than the AP2s. My 14 year old plays with the T200 5, 6 and 7 irons and then uses the T100S 8, 9 PW and AW. He loves the combination and praises how forgiving these irons are.

If you look at the iron heads from the Maltby Playability Factor Charts, the 2021 T200 and T100S are actually rated as Game Improvement Irons. The 718 AP2s are rated as Conventional.

Cannot talk to the AP2s but I have the T100S/T200 combo set and love them. The T100S is more forgiving than my miz JPX 900 Tours (CB Blades).

It’s weird that the playability factor chart list the T100S as game improvement. From a playability standpoint, they are exactly like the T100, but with the muscular channel on the longer irons.
