Wait 12 weeks or wait for 2023 T-series irons?

    I just placed an order for a set of T100S irons, but unfortunately the estimated lead time is currently at 12 weeks. Would love feedback from you Titleist veterans--should I keep the order or wait just a few extra months for the 2023 T-series irons to be released?

    This would be my first set of Titleist irons, fulfilling a dream I had when I was younger and wasn't good enough to play what was out at the time. Quit golf for over 15 years and came back in 2021 like many others. Hitting better than I ever did before and the feel of these in demos has been terrific.

    I absolutely LOVE the current T100/S design and only wish I'd been able to upgrade my set earlier. However, the pandemic didn't help and we recently had to deal with a big water leak and spent over $9k replacing the central AC unit.

    I'd purchased a TSi3 driver and TSi2 4w in Jan 2022, and have zero regrets about the TSR release months later. On one hand, Titleist designs seem timeless. On the other hand, I really do like the 2021 T100 look much more than the 2019 T100. Feeling conflicted as to what to do here and would appreciate your thoughts.

    If you were for into the T100s and love it, be confident that it’ll still work after the new head designs come out. Embrace your decision and play them.
    I’m playing 20+ year old irons and still beat my playing partners with their modern loft jacked irons. But I admit I really want to get a set of T100s.

    I’m an average golfer at best and must say the 21 T100’s are pretty darn good.
    From the rough, where I mostly play from, they are way better than other brands. Yes, 12 weeks is some long time to wait when spending $1,500. But what’s the difference we now wait that long to spend $70K waiting on a Vehical.
    When playing I must concentrate on the shot at that moment. Playing with a liquor store owner, car dealer, produce man and a sporting book guy is some challenge.

    New releases don't always improve the performance. I have heard from others that the current T100's are the best feeling and best performing clubs Titleist has put out in a long time. Also, I think they are the best looking design yet. I'm not consistent enough to justify buying them but if I was there would be no hesitation putting a set of T100-S in my bag and keeping them for a long time. I'm hoping that they use the design and appearance of the T100's for all future designs.

    I agree with those above. If you love the look and feel of the current T100S go for it. I received mine in early November and was feeling the same as you are. I personally love the look and feel and figured when the new model is released it will still have a lead time so you'd be a while by the time you were playing the new model. Then... What if you don't like the 2023 design as much as the current model? Thats what made my decision for me.

    Look what Calloway just did with the Paradigm release. They look like they're straight off of a self at Costco and I personally was a fan of the Rogue design.

    I am currently playing Scotty X5.5, SM9 (58 & 54 degree), T100S (GW-6), T200 (4-5), TSR3 (10, 15, 18 degree). Couldn't be happier.

    I’m not sure where you live, but I’m not playing outdoors for another 12 weeks at best. There’s no guarantee that there won’t be a 12 week wait with the 2023 version or that there won’t be a price increase. With USGA restrictions, incremental improvements are far more likely than revolutionary improvement. If your current order improves your game, why wait until October at the earliest to take advantage?

    Buy them now. Treat yourself. Life is short. You can always sell them after the new ones comes out for a decent price.

    I’ve played just about every brand of irons out there. My first set of irons were second hand set of DCI’s. I miss them, wish I never sold them. In the last 2 years I’ve had 5 sets of irons in play, I’m happy with my P7MC irons. I regret not trying out the T100’s, they look amazing and a few friends of mine have told me how amazing they feel. I plan to try them out first chance I get, pretty strong feeling I’m going to end up getting a set….12 weeks could very well be worth the wait. I’m just curious, is the wait due to availability of shafts. I know KBS shafts are all back ordered, causing unreal wait times for several other brands, including TM

    When I ordered my T200 irons in August 2021, I was told by the pro shop "they're in stock, it'll be two weeks." I received them in February of 2022. Moral of the story, 12 weeks may not always mean 12 weeks. You may end up with 2023 T100S irons if the delays are significant.

    I've spent a good deal of time thinking about it, and I've decided to wait the 12 weeks. I figure I know I'll love these and if the 2023 models are really that much better, I can always trade them in and upgrade.


    Agree with Braydon... Don't like the design of the new Paradigm irons at all...

    It seems the heads of the T100S are out of stock. The rep I was emailing told me if I want to switch to the regular T100 that the order could ship quickly. Surprising to me that there'd be such a difference in stock between the two.

    I'm lucky to live in Hawaii, so golf is year-round. I bet the 12 weeks will fly by anyway with how busy work is...

    thinking about this aswell, wondering if i should pull the trigger on a set of T100S irons or wait for the 2023 version as i think the 21's looking and feel amazing

    I'm in a very similar situation. Nearly 20 years of cally X14's and have just been fitted for T100. Tempted to wait it out, just annoying that I can't gap into my wedges without knowing how the T100 PW performs. Picked up a TSi3 Driver and 3 Wood recently for almost half price which felt like a bargain (even if they aren't as forgiving as the Tsi2 version). Just hard to swallow the full cost of the set knowing that the new version is so close.

    What happens if you wait the 12 weeks, and dislike the new version?

    I'd say be patient and wait the 12 weeks until the clubs you ordered, and really love, arrive.

    I will add this too - I think I had a 12 week wait time and they ended up arriving in about 8 or so. I was told Titleist always over estimate lead time so 12 weeks is the max but they could arrive earlier.

    I checked with Titleist and they said the same thing! Current estimate is late February (8 weeks) instead of late March. So happy I kept the order as January flew by with work being so busy anyway. I love that we have this community which gives great advice.

    I had the same experience. Quoted 6 week lead time. Arrived in 3.

    Also it seems shafts are usually the component that holds up lead time.

    I too ordered t100S a couple weeks ago and was informed that the heads are back ordered and that they expect a delivery “early this month” and the heads have to be inspected then lead times will be issued.

    I ordered a set of T100's last week was told 2-3 weeks... Titleist website says 2 weeks for Project X shafts, not sure what other shafts might be.

    Did you get fitted for those irons? If so, then you know that they should work very well for you versus guessing on another set. I hate changing irons and am still rocking a set of 716 CB's. It would take a massive improvement in performance before I get a new set of irons. Still, your problem is a good one to have.

    Just wanted to add to this and give a heads up. My T100S have shipped. Within a couple days of being told they were back ordered I received the shipped email. So hoping I can bring hope! Lol

    I received notice yesterday that they shipped!!! So total wait time around 6 weeks instead of 12. So excited!!!

    I got my t100s irons in 2 weeks.
    I order it at Jan 16th because it said delivey time is 12 weeks and I want it before season starts.
    But I got it Jan 26th....lol

    Also next version iron model price will be go up.

    I bought the first T300s that were released and very happy with them. I normally go every other cycle and will be eyeing new clubs this coming fall. Have hit the current clubs and they are sweet, have a nice feel. As to the price going up, probably, everything else in life is. I just plan ahead and go with it. Hakuna matata. =)
