TSR 7 wood factory shaft tipping

    I sent a email to customer service a few days ago but haven’t heard back. I’m trying to determine the factory tip trimming for the TSR 7 wood. I’m planning to go with the Ventus blue x-flex but before ordering I need to know if Titleist will tip this shaft at the factory and if so by how much. Thanks.

    I would think Titleist uses the manufacturer suggested tip trim instructions as standard. If that is infact the case, Fujikura recommends 1" tip trim for 7 wood on their website.

    They tip all their shafts to the vendor “standard” specs unless otherwise specified by the buyer. Even when ordering direct from Titleist, all orders go into the same custom fulfillment process. It is incumbent for a dealer to have all the specs developed prior to placing the order. Or, if ordered direct - on the buyer alone.

    I am not sure that Titleist will automatically trim tip’s shaft for fairway wood as per different’s shaft manufacturers advice.
    The best way to avoid any surprise is to tell exactly what you want when you pass your order. In this case, if there is any problem with the wrong trimming, I am sure they will correct the situation.

    Those dudes at Titleist are pretty heads up. I bet part of their agreement with the shaft producers is to follow their recommendations unless specifically asked to do otherwise. You should be able to request whatever you want when ordering.
