I've never played a 7 wood but think one would fit well in the bag. I currently go from TSi2 3wd in 15* loft which I hit 250. The next club goes down to a 4i which is a very old DCI that I can hit 205 so there is a good gap. I will need to remove the 4i to stay at 14 clubs.

One of my friends suggested a 7wd to kind of fill the gap as our course seems to have a lot of 215yd shots I'm faced with and I don't back off the 3wd that well, either long or short.

I do find it's easier for me to back off a wood rather than trying to hammer something (things can go wonky quickly when I try to do that) but it's always easier to hit a full club.

With this, and I already know the response will be "get fitted", but since I have never owned a 7wd what loft is usually associated with that? I know there will be a range but I have no clue where to start other than asking the good folk here on TT.

And of course it will be another TSi or TSr.
