Finally got to hit my new TSR hybrid. I absolutely LOVE the performance, however I question the sound. I have had the TSR woods since last fall and the sound was vastly improved over the TSi series. I was expecting the same from the hybrid, but that's not the case.

The TSR hybrid has a "tinny" sound that I haven't heard since I replaced the old cally Heavenwood Hybrid.

Has anyone else had this experience? this model is the 29* and didn't sound like this at the fitting.

    thanks,

    Steve

TSR1 hybrids sound that way. Is yours a TSR1? I don't think the TSR2 or TSR3 have that hollow sound.

Curious which model do you have? I have 2 TSR2 hybrids and they sound great.

this model is the TSR1. I checked with the Titleist fitter who said he's been hearing similar comments. Not sure why Titleist would have such a different sound within the same series of clubs.

But, as long as it's performing well, I think I can get used to the sound.

Sound deadening materials add weight. Just a guess Probably a difficult compromise. Titleist added sound engineers with the TSR 2/3/4 woods and now the T200/350 irons. Maybe the TSx-1 series will see an improvement next year.
