It's the same polymer backplate that was on the last generation T200 and now on the G3 T200 and new T350. There has been a few complaints about T200 scratches but the majority of T200 users are very happy and do not express any more wear concerns than you would see overall on any iron head. Basic care should ensure that it holds up well but I am sure if bouncing around long enough where another iron sets right up against it, it could mark up a bit. That said, if you ever look in a PGA Tour pro's bag, his irons usually look like they were drug off the back of a pickup truck down a dirt road. Point being, they are tools and when any tool is used a lot, it shows some signs of wear.

That makes sense but there has been a flood of comments and pictures on other golf forums of the backplate on the T-350's falling off. Some pictures show rust on the inside as I'm suspecting that moisture is getting inside the backplate causing this issue. Mine so far are fine but I do clean my clubs about every round but their is a big concern about the backplate now on my set.

So does anyone even know why this is happening? I very surprised that this has even been an issue as I'm thinking I should now have went with the T-150's

I would not call it systemic as the backplates have been around since the 2019 T200 design with minimal issues. I just think the initial volume of new T350 builds might have overlooked some epoxy issues. In my case, the backplate fell off the PW and upon inspection, the amount of epoxy was minimal and appeared to only be on the hosel end area of the backplate. By adding new epoxy to the spots that align with the two holes in the back of the head, I am now guaranteed to have the greatest connection between the two surfaces. I was able to check the other irons by tapping on the back to determine which ones were loose and which were secure. The gap wedge was the same as the PW so I fixed it. All other irons were tight so I am not concerned at all with them. Epoxy is heavy so I can see where swing weight might have been a factor in minimal amounts being used. I don't see rust as a factor. Theoretically you could have water freeze and expand to the point of pushing off the plate but that is very unlikely and most of us would not have that much water under the backplate or keep our clubs in freezing conditions. Pretty sure it's just a few clubs that did not get enough epoxy in the right place. Most everyone need not worry. I love my T350's and this minor issue does not stop me from enjoying every round I play with them.

Well for some this might be a minor issue but for those who had to send their clubs back and then had to wait 3-4 weeks for them to be repaired and inspected would be a major issue for me since I don't have a back up set. Also wouldn't the warranty be void if you did the repair yourself. I wonder how many customers Titleist lost because of this issue.
