I looked at blending t150 with the t200 4 & 5 irons but when i went for a fitting the t200s spun to much so went for full set of t150s

Probably more than ever are doing it and Titleist purposely modeled this line-up to better match up for blended sets. You will see everything from T100/T150 only, T100/T150/T200 blends, T150/T200 blends, and even some amateurs playing T200/T350 blends. The advantage is to maximize feel in the short irons and forgiveness in the longer irons.

How might you blend, or how are others blending, T200 with T350? Specifically;

T200 4, 5, 6, T350 7, 8, 9

Or

T350 4, 5, 6 T200 7, 8, 9

The vast majority of people (or even everyone) who blends will have larger more forgiving irons in the harder to hit longer irons and more compact irons in the shorter "scoring" irons.
Likely T350/T200 combos would likely have a T350 4-7iron along with T200 5-PW, even GW in some sort of combination but the T200 would always take the higher lofted, lower end of the bag.

Quite a few people make up sets that are a mix of the various T Series irons. Using T200 irons for the longer irons is common as they give you a bit more forgiveness.

In the past I have blended MBs and CBs, with the MBs used for W to 7 irons and CBs used for the 5 and 6 irons.

Great question. I have 46, 50, 54, 58 in Vokey SM9 and am looking at T100 in 4-9 but would consider with AMT black stiff shafts. Should I be looking at something else instead of the 4 or 5 iron like the T150 or T200? What about the more aggresive lofts though, how would those blend?

Great questions. Save them for your fitter. Getting an opinion here for free is worth every penny you pay for it.

As far as the loft differences - you only move down to the next version (T100-T150-T200) when you lose an increase of 5 mph to the next club. Once you get your clubs, you check the distance. If the gap is wider, then you adjust the difference with loft adjustments then. The distance gap may not require any loft change. You only moved to the next line because you already didn’t have 10-15 yards more distance already with the T100 loft. Don’t assume the T150 4 iron will travel more than 10-15 yards than the T100 5 iron. If you could hit the T100 4 iron 10-15 yards more than the 5 iron, you don’t need the T150. Mixing clubs is an alternative if you can’t get your window with a straight set.

In my case, I didn’t need to adjust the loft of my T350 6 iron to the loft of a T200 as it is within 15 yards of the T200 7 iron.

Spot on…for the most part, as you get fitted, you may start to see your ball speeds bunching up, which results in a loss of your gapping…so, going to the next line will help. BUT, many also blend sets for consistency/forgiveness in the longer irons….as lofts get lower, swing flaws are exaggerated, which usually comes in the form of sidespin/left-right dispersion…I fall more into the first category…ball speed was bunching in the 6/5 irons, so I wound up getting the 5/6 iron in the T200 and the 7-GW in the T-150…HOWEVER, I have trouble hitting irons that are too big for my eye as I grew up on blades and prefer a small head…so, I do sometimes just leave the T200s out of the bag and skip the 6 iron in the T150 and just carry the 5 iron and it covers the ball speed gap…some depends how I’m feeling that week, or what course I’m playing…

I have seen many people blending. The t200 for long irons and t150 for short irons. I would personally go with the MBs in the short irons strictly based on looks, as I like to see the thinner top line

80% of pros mix clubs in their bag. Titleist expects amateur numbers to be similar.

Why mix? The goal is not to look good in the bag, but to have the right tool for any distance. After getting the desired launch window, height, and descent angle, most players will not maintain enough ball speed to maintain the 3 keys of flight. The goal is each club generates 5mph ball speed from the last club.

I have T200 7-48 and T350 6 iron for that reason.

I blended my set, t150 4&5i and t100 6-9i the t150 4&5 have really helped a lot with gapping. Having used traditional lofted 4-5 was giving me three clubs that went about the same distance. Now I don’t have three 6 irons lol.

My set consists of 5 and 6 T350 irons because they can give me distance and height, then T200 6 thru Lob Wedge because they give me accuracy. Since I gained distance I lost the 3 and 4 irons.

I just ordered my new set. T100 4-7, 620MB 8-PW

I got fitted today and ordered the T150 4-6 and T100 7-PW. Loved the feel of both but wanted even more feel and got my yardage where I wanted for my 7–PW. I went in thinking I’d end up with the 200/150 split but my launch angles were much better with the 150/100 setup. Can’t wait to get them and use them in a week or two!

I've got the following blend:
4 Iron: T150
5-PW: T100

I carry a 18 deg 2 iron so this helps with gapping. Did look at using a T200 4 iron but didn't notice much difference with the T150

T200 4 & 5 iron, T150 6-PW have me hitting the windows I prefer. Gapping is spot on with the forgiveness and feel I'm looking for throughout my irons.

Blending is pretty common. Not only with the clubheads, but also the shafts. That's why it is best to find a qualified fitter, and work with more than one clubhead.
I would avoid blending right hand and left hand though. Extensive studies have shown this to be detrimental to proper gapping.

I got fitted for SM10 46,50,54,60 and then T100 5-9, T200 utility 4 iron and a U505 3 iron. Best set up I’ve ever had. Don’t get too stuck up on loft. If you’re getting the correct ball speed and land angle it dosnt matter.

I just had a fitting in February and I have my 5-6 irons in the T150s and 7-Pw in the T100s. Everything feels more correct now. Also got 3 SM10 wedges to finish my set. Can't wait to get them out on the course

Just got fit into T150 irons the other day. Looking for suggestions on people that have played a blended set as my fitter recommended a T200 5 iron. What are the benefits to it? Anyone play a similar setup?

I went with the t300 in 5 and 6 iron. T200 7 through gap. I just didn’t have quite enough club head speed to launch the t200 5 and 6. I really like my 5 and 6. I feel I can control them well. Good luck!!

I currently run a blended set of 620 mb/cb 4-P and a T200 Utility 3 iron. This allows me to get the ideal gapping and control over all shots needed.

I haven't bought a straight set of clubs for years. I have always done some sort of mixed bag of irons.

Heck yeah! I blended two sets....T150 with T200 and another set with T200 and T350....both are amazing but different at the same time!
