Will Titleist go carbon for their next driver? I've used both Titanium and Carbon composite drivers and personally find the Titanium drivers better. The TSr is beautiful, I don't have one as waiting to see the next offering from the master club makers.

As a footnote I still get my old 913D3 with 96g ProForce V2 shaft out occassionally and it's as long as any other.

We will not know until the "tour seeding" happens later this summer. I know that the engineers have experimented with prototypes along with doing durability testing on the other companies heads and as of the last release, they did not want to go in the direction of carbon composites. That could change but the company keeps pre-release info very confidential.

Reading between the lines at public discussions with the “woods” team, they are still positive they can get more from the current military grade titanium. For at least this release.
From a factory tour, they felt composite faces don’t hold up as well as titanium. If Titleist went composite, it would need to be more durable than current competitors. Don’t think it will be this release.

Based on videos with Titleist engineers and developers, I don't think they see as much value in carbon as the 'ATI' Areospace Titanium.

The 913D driver was an amazing driver. I had one also, but the newer Titleist drivers have really improved over that driver regarding accuracy and distance. We will have wait and see what the next line will look like. I know R&D will provide all us loyalists with a worthy product.
