As a fellow senior, I can advise only based on my own experience. A Titleist fitter can give you the specific elements of a driver that will fit your game, not anyone else's. Go in prepared to inform the fitter of the details of you current driver, as well as your desires. You may end up in a TSR 1, or possibly a TSR 2, but it is the combination of head and shaft that tells the tale. Be open to suggestions, try different combinations, and work with the fitter to find your best fit. By the way, I play a TSR 3, 9.0 set to A1, with a HXRDUS Red CB 50 gram Regular shaft. Works for me. Fit by the best Titleist fitter of his day (now retired).

Easy. TSR1 is light and forgiving. TSR2 would be the only other option.

Get fitted, I think a TSR1 or TSR2 would be great for more distance.

You should be able to get fit into one of the Titleist drivers that will work best for you, no problem. Don’t guess, get fit. I am not a long hitter either but the TSR3 turned out to be the best fit for me. Before that, the TSi2 was the one I played. Point being, you never really know if the TSR1, TSR2, TSR3, or even the TSR4 with the right loft and the right shaft might give you your max performance. Keep us posted on your results. I suppose you are right Dale. I just am so anxious to get the driver now, while they are still available. But I suppose I should wait until I am fully recovered from my surgery and go get fitted again. Never know, maybe the 3 is the right one for me. Thanks for the great suggestion.

Dana, The endless search for distance. I have been doing a lot of research on the TSR Drivers and shafts that are featured with the 4 heads available. I even did a fitting, but had a super bad day with my swing that day. I have since straighten out the super bad old habits and ready to get a TSR driver. Now is the time, they have dropped the price in case you have not noticed. I am a 16 HC now and going to be 67 in June. I played 3 to 4 times per week last year and won 4 awards in 4 leagues including 1st in my division and 1st in team in the Monday night league.

I have done the on line fitting about 20 times. It keeps coming up with TSR 3 for me. I have looked at these drivers in Dick's sporting good. I really don't like the look of the 3, nor do I think I hit the middle of the the club face on a regular basis enough to get a 3. I know what most will say, do another fitting. Well I would if I did not have surgery on April 18th and will begin normal activity in a few weeks.

With that said here is my evaluation on the metal woods and shafts from titleist.
The TRS 1 is the lightest and launches the highest of all the metal heads thought the line, Driver - Hybrids. It has the same face as the 2. Which both are the most forgiving and that's what I think I need. The entire idea behind the TRS 1 lighter = fast swing speed = more distance has me torn between the TSR 1 and TSR 2 models.
The TSR 2 has the same forgiving face as the one, but a different profile. From what a gather the 2 would be overall a less of a trajectory club than the TSR1. And it's heavier, which I am ok with. I have watched about 50 - 60 product info, fittings and promos on You Tube about Titleist drivers. Stephanie has a great product interview on the web site. But something that has been bugging me about getting the TSR 1 that she says, " swing the heaviest hammer you can, without losing ball speed." I play a Cobra Rad speed now with a Fuji motore F3 weight 58GM and 4.9 torque. I learned long ago that torque, if not proper, can really put your game off. I had a set of graphite shafted irons in the early days of graphite shafts and it was horrible. So I am really concerned with a 7.9 MMT speedmesh shaft on the TRS1. I swing in the low 80's according the Trackman2. Although I know the tech is way different now.

All of this coupled with getting older, but still in great shape and plan staying that way for a while. The TSR2 seems to be a good choice for me. The TRS1 would also be a good choices as well. But the heavy hammer thing just keeps rolling in my brain.
Shafts: looking at all the combo's Titleist has to offer, its between Project X hazardous RED 50 gm 5.5 & the PX Evenflow CB 50, 5.5 flex for the driver. My goal is the change all my gear to titleist. I have drank the koolaide, live about 20 miles from Accusnet, MA. So I am all in. LOL Back to shafts, with that said I have looked at the options for a 13 or 15 fairway metal, 18 and a hybrid. It seems there are more options the the Hzardus Red then the EvenFlow series of shafts. IE the Red has a 70 gm for a hybrid and the even flow does not. But I'll say I have the Evenflow on a 7 FW Sim2 head and it is pretty awesome. So I am still toying the the idea and going a little lighter with my 3 MW - Hybrid as I add to my bag with the TSR line.

I hope this helps you and I suppose I am looking for input from the team as well, if anyone has an opinion. I know it's like something else everyone has one. But I do welcome those who want to join in on my madness.
Next year T series irons, now that should be fun. But I will see my fitting guy and have him help me decide over the long, cold New England winter.

So Dana, if you are still with me. You should try to get a fitting with an official Tittleist fitter or at a titleist fitting center. But it has been my experience that you should have 2 or 3 choices in mind before going in there. I had a great fitting a few years ago. But it was not until I suggest a Deep Cavity Back iron to try, I may have never found the irons set, that I have and really love now. So your choices are important. I may never have discovered that iron gave me the best numbers If I did not speak up. So you should do some research and give your choices in any fitting you may do. They are normally $100 - $150 per segment, Drivers - Irons - wedges etc. Good Luck and welcome the TT family.
