Before I get started, my favorite club in the bag is the TSR1 23 fairway and I just acquired a GT2 18* fairway.
I recently replaced my TSR1 26 with a TS2 25 (38.5”). The latter is 1* more upright and is much easier to swing and felt much more solid.
I picked up a 913F 17* fairway quite cheaply and put a Diamana 72 R shaft on it. I have the Bassara A in reserve for a later date. Much easier to hit off the deck vs TSR1 18 fairway. The GT2 18 has my old shaft (the store let me do a shaft swap with the TSR1). Both the GT2 (Diamana 70R) and the 913F are about equal except the latter has a more penetrating ball flight. The first pic shows the comparison in head sizes.
I’m using a 695MB 8 iron (with Project X 6,0) and it actually hit about 3 yards farther vs a T150 8 iron.
The 910F 21 in the 2nd pic outperformed a TSR1 20* fairway. Both are 41.5”. The former has an Ilima 70 and the latter a Diamana 72R.
My 2 cents is the 910F and 913F fairways are the best. I believe the TS2 and 816H1 are the best hybrids and 910H in 3rd. I’ve had my 816H1 for 6 years now. I had a 913F 19 and 816H1 25 that I played on and off between 2017-2019. I’ve been playing a 910F 21 in various shaft iterations since 2015 (started with Bassara and went to Kai’li in 2019). I also kept a 910H 27 (set to 38.5) that had various shaft iterations
since 2012 and carried it on and off through 2022 (used Bassara at the outset and switched to Kaili at the start of COVID; the final shaft iteration was Ilima 70).
Also I just recently re-added a Sumo2 SQ 34. For those that swing triple-x shafts and hit a PW 150 yards don’t scoff. Fred Couples carries a 7 iron as his longest iron. Mine has a stiff shaft and it is a no brainer.
I play a 60g driver shaft and 70g fairways & hybrids. 25H is soft stepped Tensei 70 stiff. 816H1 27 is Tensei 75 soft stepped stiff.
