Misuse of Titleist for sales adds

    Anybody else try to purchase something through a vendor using Titleist to lure buyers in, only to be denied at checkout?

    Today I tried to purchase a new bag. I’ve had the same png Hoofer since roughly 2005. I went to purchase the all white stand bag and they would not apply the promo. Then I tried to contact them. They responded multiple times until I told them my problem and then they were past normal business hours, knowing the promo code ends today. Pretty bummed about it.

    If I’m understanding your situation you tried to use a discount code to purchase a Titleist bag from an on line retailer, correct?

    If you read the fine print of these offers it says some brands may be excluded. Unfortunately this usually includes the most popular equipment brands, among them Titleist.

    Most reputable retailers who are also Titleist dealers are restricted from discounting Titleist products, among some other brands. So, the same thing would happen at checkout with any sort of savings coupon at a Golf Galaxy, PGA Superstore, Dick's or any other brick and mortar store. It's just one of many little ways that Titleist keeps their brand image as strong as it is.
