  1. Purchased these on line. I think they have a real classy look to them and can’t wait to break them in on the course!

I have had the surf stripe hat this season, great pick up!

As a HS golf coach, just put in the order for team hats for the boys this year. Black tour snap backs with grey script and team logo on the side. It may have been a bit of a selfish decision LOL! But they squad will look like some players out there!

Any and all hats with Titleist on them works well for me. Put the American flag on it and what could be better!?
    Play Well,

I would like Titleist to use the correct flag on all their products, not a cartoonish pretend flag with too few Stars and Stripes. I know nobody cares now a days, but there is a right way to display our flag. When in doubt reference the US Flag Code.

    Totally agree.

To be clear, I'm not interested in a "who is more patriotic?" discussion, however, this is an issue I've had questions about for a while and maybe some of you have expertise on this subject they can share with me.

There are clear rules for how the U.S. flag should and should not be displayed. Between years in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts and my grandfather who flew in the Army Air Corp, these lessons of respect and proper use were taught and are still easily discoverable in the U.S. Flag Code as Joey points out. Speaking of...

Section 8 J of the U.S. Flag Code states "No part of the flag should ever be used as a costume or athletic uniform. However, a flag patch may be affixed to the uniform of military personnel, firemen, policemen, and members of patriotic organizations."

We see flag patches and stickers on sports uniforms and helmets all the time now since 2001. How does this jibe with this section of the Code? Is one interpretation that pro sports teams, high school sports teams, and equipment manufacturers are considered "patriotic organizations"?

Again, not trying to prove a point or rain on a parade, I am asking because I've wanted to wear a hat or shirt with the flag on it, but I also want to be respectful to the flag, the US Flag Code, and to all military service men and women who have sacrificed in service to what the flag represents.

    Thoughts?

This is really great feedback. It's unfortunate, but I don't think flag code is common knowledge. I think a large majority of Americans just get wrapped up in being patriotic and innocently don the flag however they can. I'm guilty of this as well and consider myself a pretty knowledgable guy and proud American who respects our flag.

I'll definitely provide your insights with the right people on our team so this can be considered in our product development moving forward.

It’s really worth reading and sharing. The more you learn about it the more interesting it becomes. Our flag is to be treated like a living item and respected at all times, not just when it convenient. To show true respect for it, not just support the code should always be followed.

Yes, I am 45 years old and I would have been clueless about the flag code but that totally makes sense. Please just don't ever consider removing any of it from the Titleist lineup!

4 or 5 years ago Titleist came out with a Red, White and Blue fitted hat without a flag on it, which I still have. I break it out on certain holidays. How about making a comeback with a hat like that?

As a disabled veteran who served in the Air Force (1965-1971) and proud long standing TT member, I personally appreciate the support and recognition that Titleist provides during it's promotions throughout the year. Agree, maybe a better example of the flag might be more acceptable to some, but at least they are are showing patriotism that most do not. I would wear it proudly and I do have the Folds of Honor bag which I cherish and show off on Veterans Day and Memorial Day with pride. Thank you Titleist for supporting veterans.
