How many of you guys use the orange whip or maybe the SKLX gold flex regularly? Have you seen results in distance or anything? Im thinking of getting one or the other. I like the shorter versions that way can swing it indoors in the upcoming offseason. Tell me your experiences!

I have an Orange Whip. Probably use it more for their advertised stretching routines than as a pre-round warm up tool. I don't keep it in the bag, it stays at home. I fell like it has help with flexibility and the muscle memory of turning my shoulders away from the ball in the back-swing.

I have orange whip, and the shorter one for simulating the iron swing. I would not recommend swinging indoors unless you have high enough ceilings. I take mine outside, as I only have 8 ft ceilings in my basement.

It's helped a little with distance. I wouldn't say I've gained a full club or anything, but more so that my distance is more consistent and that I'm at the upper side of my range.

Just my opinion, but I think it helps me more with tempo than with distance.

I picked up the SKLZgold one a couple of offseasons ago, but due to my back issues I have used it very limitedly, mainly as a warm-up tool pre-rounds, maybe a couple of minutes to help me get loose, I have not noticed any distance improvements but again I have not used enough and as it was recommended to make a difference.

I LOVE the orange whip. I swing it everyday. It really has helped with my tempo. Whenever my swing feels out of whack, the orange whip has been my cure. I use the super speed system to work on swing speed. I do a quick 10-15 min workout with it on days i am not playing or hitting balls. Sometimes i use it as part of my warmup before a round. Both have helped a great deal.

I've got an Orange Whip which I use before my warm-up range sessions to help find a good tempo. (For the record, it is no longer orange. Orange clashed with all the Titleist red in my bag, so I painted the ball red to match! Now it fits in my bag nicely.) I have been using it for years and frankly, couldn't tell you how much it has helped. It is just part of my everyday prep to play and I would feel like I was missing part of my warm up if I didn't use it.

If you have tempo issues or balance issues with your swing, I would definitely recommend one. I feel I have a very good tempo (most days) as a result of my time spent working almost daily with the Orange Whip over the years. I wish I could use it before every drive on the course. I'm sure it would help keep a great tempo throughout a round. But, that's a no-no.

Now that I'm thinking about it, the next time I'm out on the course practicing alone dealing with swing issues, I'm going to whip out the Whip to help me find a comfortable rhythm and tempo, as long as there is no one waiting on me. I bet it will help. I've laid down alignment sticks in that situation many times in the past, so why not try the OW too? Unfortunately, neither the Whip or the use of alignment sticks is within the rules in a real round.

Ive used the Orange Whip and its very helpful... Ive since gone to the bath size towel! Its lighter and serves more useful practice drills!
  8. Good for working on your rhythm and tempo. Also a good workout and stretch for your golf muscles. Good warm up before a practice session.

The Orange Whip is a part of my daily exercise routine. It works all the golf muscles and promotes good tempo. I also use it before a round and between 9's. It keeps this 66 year old loose. Very useful tool. Highly recommend.

I must be the only person who has never heard of the orange whip. Does anyone have a photo to post? Where can you purchase them?

Google Golf Orange Whip and the response is almost immediate. There is a weighted orange ball on the end of a flexible rod with an oversized grip. Once I get to a golf swing in my warmup, the weight helps me transfer weight forward in tempo with my swing. It's the only swing aid I've used for more than a month.

I use the whip for both stretching at home like Dale and for working out all the bone creaking/cracking as part of my warm up. Especially on slow play days I'd love for it to be legal to use on a tee box while waiting. I can stiffen for one and lose tempo for another. In casual play it gets me back to the better me.
  12. I have a SKLZ gold which I have used as a recuperation tool after two Hip replacements
It has been a big benefit that I intend to continue with over the winter months
I don't keep it in my bag, it is purely for use at home for about 15 mins per day
I haven't seen any distance improvement but I do feel it has aided flexibility and tempo

I have used the orange whip for a couple of years now. Like everyone else has mentioned before it helps me with my tempo and balance. I try to swing it at least 5 to 10 minutes a day and especially before I hit the range or play a round.

I have an Orange Whip, but I only use it in the winter when I don't get to play as much.

    The Orange Whip is great!
If you want to increase Swing Speed look at getting a Super Speed training setup. You’ll be bombing it in a few weeks!

Sounds as though the Oragne Whip is they way to go, but the SKLZ one is so much more affordable.

Just received The Twitch Trainer and it actually works pretty well.... And it disassembles to fit in golf bag!
