Does anybody use these? I never even thought of using them, but I think it would reduce the club chatter since I often ride in a cart...

J, funny you posted that question. I always had bag clatter marks on the clubs. Picked up nice set of 716CB and had iron covers so I used them. Being in Northeast will keep my clubs warm on the chilly rounds, LOL....

I use them in my carry bag but not in my trolley bag.

Club Glove neoprene iron covers, mine are many years old, but, still do the job. The do reduce chatter, and, with my 14 way bag, only half of my irons have covers, when I play. I had a set of AP1's previously, and, didn't use iron covers, and, those got beat up pretty good. When, I switched to AP3's, I starting using iron covers, again, and, my AP3's still look good.

I have used iron covers for a long time. Mainly to keep them from making noise in the back of the SUV while driving. I will say that they keep your clubs in much nicer condition. My C16 have been in use since they were released and there is no chatter on them and look almost new.
  6. Yes, definitely, but will probably get a lot of flack from everyone. Club Glove neoprene does the job. Definitely keeps your clubs looking good. Funny how people complain about the slightest dings in their woods, but think nothing of their irons.

I have played golf for 51 years and have never owned a set of iron covers. Never had a problem with my clubs getting dinged while in the bag, taking them out, or putting them back in. I have owned all types of bags and never saw the need for iron covers. Headcovers for my woods/ metal woods......definitely, but that’s all.

I’ve used them on my last two sets of irons. I always use a push cart when I play. I love how quite it keeps them when I walk, and even better I love how nice it keeps them. I really don’t like all the dings irons get from clanking are with each other. Some like the noise, but to me it’s a constant reminder of your clubs getting g ruined. I use ClubGlove brand, but wish Titleist made them..

Look just like mine. Us them all the time. DO NOT LIKE CLUBS FULL OF DINGS. Other than the dirt keeps em looking like new.

If I had a set, I would use them only for my travel bag. I use toddler’s socks for them when traveling. Mainly I am trying to cushion any impact to the heads of the driver and fairway woods. Even with them covered by their own headcovers I worry about loose irons when the baggage handlers are tossing bags around. During play, don’t think I would bother. That said, I would never criticize anyone for how they wanted to set up their bag.

I've found at least 4 iron covers on the course in the past two seasons. Always turn them in for golf gods karma!

To each his own, no judgement here, but Im not really a fan of iron covers! I get that ya want to keep your clubs nice, but they aren't for me. Ive seen more iron head covers in the lost and found basket then any other item, thats for sure!

I find them to be too much chew on the course, on and off all the time, but they good if your travelling anywhere

I have seen folks who have dings in their irons, but they are the guys who never clean their clubs and whose irons are well over ten years old......most serious golfers take good care of their clubs and really have to need for iron covers, except when traveling.......with respect to all opinions
