I'm looking at a possible Father's Day present of a Hybrid 5 Standbag... I currently have a super heavy "other brand" cart bag and it's just getting to be too much to lug around, and I want to join the Titleist bag fold, should go nicely with my new (to me). I'm thinking about the Hybrid 5 Standbag www.titleist.com/.../020GB1T.html, anybody have this bag? What's your take on it?

That’s the bag I’m using and I like it a lot. It’s light enough for carry and fits into the golf car securely too. It has enough pockets and storage for all of my gear and accessories without being overkill. I feel like some bags have too many pockets and zippers. The full length dividers are a nice touch too.

I recently purchased the hybrid 5 bag--I have a couple of issues--first how do you make it a one strap bag--is it just taking the right strap off and using that way? Second why would they design a bag that when its on a cart sort of leans backwards because of the size of the legs at the top. The heads of the irons all point back to the wood section making it very hard to get clubs into the top sections. Pretty stupid design if you ask me--if the bag leaned forward a little it would be better. Other than that it is a pretty nice bag.

"Pretty stupid design"? Ouch! That was harsh. You may have mistaken this forum for Facebook. :) Maybe a suggestion would be to try attaching the bag sideways with the legs to the side and the large pocket to the outside. Also, yes, you disconnect one of the two straps, either one based on how you want to carry it. The cross-strap connector has a slit that allows for one of the two straps to easily pull out without unthreading it from the connector.

Love the red bag but not sure about the legs...useful at the range but may be cumbersome at other times.

I think that's why it is categorized as a hybrid. Can be used on a cart or while occasionally walking a course. If you don't need the legs and never walk a course, probably want to get the cart bag.
