I always see the Titleist headcovers. I am just curious who, what type, style etc etc does everyone use to protect their irons. Or do you just leave them uncovered?

I have 716 Ap1's I use a soft foam type cover that slides over the head, I have a new set of T-200's coming and was curious what others use....in case I feel like switching. I know Titleist doesn't offer any.

The funny part the company that makes the brand I use. They have 2 - 9's or I guess 6's? Plus I use the #3 & #4 for my AW & GW wedges after my PW.

    Just curious.....

I do not use iron covers on the course, however, off the course when I am travelling (plane, car), they are a must. I have the Titleist Club Glove Travel Cover, Club Glove Stiff Arm and I thought their head covers were the best option, but I found a wonderful iron club set on Amazon for almost nothing:

To be honest, I am not afraid of tiny nicks, and I absolutely love the clanking sound.

Never used iron covers...I like the "klang".

  5. I use them for traveling and take them off when playing because I would lose them if I didn't. I use a product called the "original face-saver" (not the face-saver plus) manufactured by like Wilson or JP Lann , anyways they are no longer manufactured which is why I do not want to lose them.

I think they look sweet and give my modern clubs a vintage early 80's vibe. Does anyone else remember these?

I respect those who use iron covers but I don't and never will. Just another something to worry about on the course!

Only time is when clubs are shipped, see baggage handler's Olympic Toss... Once I'm a destination, off they come!

I'm a little anal retentive about taking care of my cars and golf clubs so iron covers are always in use. I use a generic brand made of a padded neoprene with a window to see the club number. Only takes a second or two to remove and replace while playing and my four year old C16 irons look almost new.

Have never used iron covers and never will. Irons are made to be struck on the ground. What are you protecting them from? A waste of time and money as far as I'm concerned.

I have an old set of Club Glove neoprene iron covers on my AP3's. My 716 AP1's got nicked up, so, I dug out the iron covers when I switched to the AP3's. I take off half of the iron covers, when I play, so, every other iron.

I use club glove. They stay on very well, but are easy to take off and put back on. I don’t like the sound of my irons damaging each other and appreciate them staying in perfect shape except ware from normal use.

No iron covers for me. When I travel, I just wrap a towel around the irons and use a Stiff-Arm in the bag.

I bought some iron covers when I bought the Concept irons and swore I would use them. I then said I would use them for traveling...I never took them out of the plastic. Seems like too much work!

Iron covers are purely a personal choice.

I use them and have no issues. I don't mind the clanking but I do mind the heads hitting my wood or driver shaft as they may slip under those head covers and bang up the graphite.
