    Do Footjoy vests fit like their polos (run big) or are they more true to size? Thanks for the help in advance.

    From what I have seen, it depends on the vest model. I have 5 or 6 recent FJ vests They are all the same size, but certain designs are meant to allow extra clothing under and others are designed to wear under a jacket and tend to be a little tighter fit. I can say, ALL my FJ vests work fine over a polo and under a jacket should I need one. I am 6' 195-200 lbs.. 'Large' fits me perfectly in virtually every piece of FJ clothing I own. And, I own a lot of it. I'm sure not as much as Chuck Z has, but more than the average non-FJ-associated player. (Chuck is one of those lucky guys who has a professional connection to FJ.)

    FWIW, I just picked up the latest Footjoy Sweater Fleece Qtr-Zip vest in Heather Gray/Charcoal. I would say the fit on it is slightly fitted. Not bulky at all. I can wear it comfortably under a top layer or simply over a FJ polo.

    Sorry, I missed the earlier post. Hopefully I can bring some clarity to this question. They do not run big!!! In the shirts I wear an XL and in the vest I wear a XXL. Some of FJ's outerwear comes in gathered waist and split waist. The gathered waist have a tendency to fit tighter in the midsection. The vests have a gathered waist. I am 6'2' and 250 lbs. I can wear the split waist comfortably, but unfortunately vests are not available in split waist. This is based on experience in the field working with the FJ rep and wearing the vests. If you are a super skinny person, the exact same size might work ok. The disadvantage of moving up a size is that the arm holes would be a bit larger in the vest, but the mid section would be a comfortable fit.

    I am sorry that I cannot help with the normal Footjoy vest sizing, but I ordered a Footjoy vest from a European dealer and the vest was true to size, or even a tad small. It was a little bit of an athletic cut.

    I’d recommend ordering the same size vest as the size you wear in the polo shirts.

    I loaded up on FJ mid-layers and outer layers fit true to size. Great investment
