My first ever fairway wood was a Titleist 975F 13.5 with ProForce Gold 65. Due to the feel and performance of that, I switched to a set of Titleist irons are DCI 981 and added another 975F into my bad. Can't agree more with JSmith about the feeling of hitting those flush.

Introduction to Titleist was their golf balls, then first clubs were the DCI gold irons. I was not fitted for these, won them for winning my flight in a tournament and played with them for a couple of years and then started experimenting with different brands, including golf balls. Think we all do this. Then came back and played the AP2s with a 910 setup Driver, fairway and hybrids. When I made the all in change, it was all Acushnet family. Apparel, shoes and equipment. Nothing but Titleist and FootJoy. j

I grew up playing the Titleist balata balls, and have played nothing else for over 45 years. I currently play the AVX. I bought my first set of 962 irons used in 1999 and lowered my handicap from 5 to 1. I recently upgraded to T200s and the transition has been smooth. Can't beat Title is quality!

First full set of Titleist clubs were DCI Black, 2-PW. Still have them tucked away in the original bag I carried back then.

Good stuff! My first set I acquired October 2019, used 714 AP2s and I absolutely love them! Last year I shot 3 rounds in the 70s, this season I've shot 7 rounds in the 70s so far! My handicap went from a 15 to a 10.1 currently... I'm hoping to reach my goal of single digits this season.

My first set of Titleist irons were the DCI 981's. Man those were great.

My entry in Titleist was Tour Models circa 1978. Still have these irons and take out once in a while, however they are getting difficult for me to hit....
