I just got the 2021 Hybrid 5 bag and like the roomy top and many pockets, but there are a couple issues making me question if I should return it or not.
First, the legs don't seem to extend fully when tilting it forward. I really have to push down on the top to get them to fully extend. Maybe I'm just not used to a bag with a hinged bottom, but I don't remember this being a problem when I tried the Players 4 stand bag.
Second, when using the bag on a golf cart, it doesn't sit completely upright, which I think is an issue with how the legs attach to the bag and or due to the way the bag gets pulled when using the strap channel. Because of how the channel is positioned, it doesn't line up well with where the strap connects on the cart.
Finally, I find the valuables pocket almost impossible to use when it's strapped in to the cart. It's just unusably tight. Perhaps this is the point, but if I throw my phone in there, I'd like to be able to get it out quickly if necessary.
What seemed like the ideal bag in theory isn't as great in practice, and I'm wondering if another bag would serve me just as well. I had originally passed on the Players 4 stand bag because the top was so small and I do like to ride sometimes, but I'm wondering if it might be more up my alley after all since the Hybrid 5's extra features seem to be duds.
