Had the privilege to tour the Carlsbad assembly plant on Monday. In my 40+ years in the defense industry i have had the opportunity to tour many aircraft assembly plants and government factories and depots. I must say that Titleist's approach to Lean manufacturing techniques is exemplary and the personnel are going great work, staying true to quality assembly while doing their best to work off an unprecedented demand backlog. I purposely chose a picture that did not show a lot of people for their own personal privacy but believe me, every work station was fully occupied. Please understand there are still a lot of industry-wide parts shortages, mainly shafts and grips and that will likely continue for a while. Add the new demand for the next generation of irons and you know these folks will be busy for some time. Please be understanding as orders take longer than you may have experienced in more normal times. Thank goodness they will not cut corners and send out inferior products. This Team Titleist guy wants to say; "thank you Carlsbad employees, we appreciate what you are doing".
