Had the privilege to tour the Carlsbad assembly plant on Monday. In my 40+ years in the defense industry i have had the opportunity to tour many aircraft assembly plants and government factories and depots. I must say that Titleist's approach to Lean manufacturing techniques is exemplary and the personnel are going great work, staying true to quality assembly while doing their best to work off an unprecedented demand backlog. I purposely chose a picture that did not show a lot of people for their own personal privacy but believe me, every work station was fully occupied. Please understand there are still a lot of industry-wide parts shortages, mainly shafts and grips and that will likely continue for a while. Add the new demand for the next generation of irons and you know these folks will be busy for some time. Please be understanding as orders take longer than you may have experienced in more normal times. Thank goodness they will not cut corners and send out inferior products. This Team Titleist guy wants to say; "thank you Carlsbad employees, we appreciate what you are doing".

Kudos to the folks at Carlsbad. I got my TSi3 yesterday and what a performer. The Speeder 661 TR shaft is something else. You guys are the best. Thank you.....cz

At least we are fortunate and we can keep playing the game we love. People seem to forget that one year ago we could not even play.

Thanks for sharing this, Dale! There’s no doubt they’re working hard to produce the best in the industry.

Great pictures Dale! It was a great day and will add my photos as well.
  7. Anecdotal evidence but Titleist seems to be struggling more than any of the other big manufacturers with orders at my local club. That’s not to discount these folks who are working their tails off, but maybe they need to align their “lean manufacturing” time estimates with reality and communicate that accurately. With each custom order I’ve made my pro has checked with the rep on availability before ordering, only to then have the estimated time that was estimated in weeks turn into months. The latest is a custom bag that was intended as a bday gift and ordered about 10 weeks in advance that I’m hoping might be a Christmas gift at this point. All the while that same bag has been ‘in stock’ in the Titleist website.

Not to get into a debate because I understand, no excuse changes the situation that you ordered a bag and want that bag. I just might point out that clubs are assembled in Carlsbad from components that come from around the world. Bags are manufactured overseas and not made or stocked locally. Totally different processes and challenges. Hope you get your bag soon.

Thanks Dale and Thank You to all the hard working, golf loving folks at the Carlsbad facility. I saw just how busy they are in the recent video with Danielle Kang and her tour of the manufacturing facility. With that said....Please send my T200 Utility 4i and my bag will be complete@

BTW, i just got off a cruise ship at the Port of Los Angeles. It is next to the shipping docks. I was shocked at how many shipping crates were stacked up all over the place and how many ships were backed up in the port. Obviously it is still a problem affecting components.
