It will be a lot lighter. The lined performance sweaters are the warmest of the sweaters that are in the line. The product you have chosen is made of 100% polyester which is a light fabric and adaptable to the weather, where the lined sweater has a 100% wool shell with a 100% polyester lining. Any of the half zip pull overs that are 100% polyester should feel and wear the same. I have a number of them and they are comfortable. This particular one I do not have. Thanks Chuck, just ordered another on, the sure look sharp. I have a few polyester Peter Millar Scotty Cameron half-zips, so I am sure they are similar.
