It's not just Titleist. All bags currently using this leg design have the same issues. Until someone engineers a different design solution, every company using this style of leg retraction will have some "leg sag". There is a TT member that has designed a removable/adjustable leg band from machined aluminum that is a promising solution as it allows a greater adjustment without the wires popping loose. Maybe it will make it into future production designs.

I disagree, Dale. I haven't experienced this issue on a prior Ogio bag, and wanted to go with the Titleist Players 4 simply for a light weight, easy to carry option. Hope to get this solved or have a warranty replacement.

Okay, I should not have said every bag but should have said some other manufacturers bags. I have personally seen other brands with the same style doing the same thing. I am not calling out their names on our forum out of respect. Regardless, I am sure it’s a design feature that is being addressed.

My hopes as well. Most folks walk the course at my club and see a lot of the popular lighter weight carry bags out and about, most without my problem. Hoping that this is more of a one off. I have adjusted the plastic clip to be higher on the metal rails, seems to be a bit better but know they can pop out with too much pressure. Only time will tell....

You are 100% right. I used Ogio bags for years, and never had an issue. My Titleist Premium Stand Bag (bought December 2021), is fantastic, with the exception of the legs. I purchased mine at Roger Dunn, here in Orange County, CA, which is a fantastic chain. I asked them about this, and they let me know the Titleist rep said to just "squeeze the black plastic piece, really hard, and slide it up". If anyone else has tried this, you will know it is impossible, unless you have the grip of a giant.
I do know that besides Ogio, png bags don't suffer this issue, but their leg stand IP is patented.
I wish Titleist would come up with a solution. It's surprising to me this didn't come up during their R&D.

No worries. It's happens a few times here as Dave is much more common than Dale. David (Dave) is my older brother's name so if you have siblings, you know even your parents got it wrong now and then. :)

I have cured my droopy legs of my bag by laying it down on the back rest side, instead of on the legs when storing in my car and also storing vertically at home.

I have also stopped this issue by laying the bag down on the back-rest side, instead of on the legs when driving to the golf course. Additionally, I have always stored the bag vertically at home.

Apart from following the two tips above, as Dale has written in older posts, there are many ways to fiddle with the plastic clip to make the wires hold in better and thus the swaggy-leg issue should stop.

I notice the "leg sag" tends to happen when my bag is full. I have multiple Titleist bags with pretty much the same leg design. I usually carry less than 14 clubs when I play my home course and most pockets are empty except for the one sleeve of ProV1's that I carry; in these instances, the legs function properly without sag. Once I start to load the pockets or add more clubs then the leg sag starts to rear it's ugly head.

I've definitely noticed it more if the bag is more weighed down compared to other times with less. Will need to see what I can adjust on the plastic clip.

If carrying 14 clubs, or having stuff in the pockets is going to cause the problem then there is a bigger issue. I will say I am Titleist thru and thru every club in my bag and my sons bag is Titleist. We only us ProV1 golf balls and FJ or Titleist gloves. I have owned 3 Titleist carry bags players stadry (my son), players 5, and players 4. All 3 bags had leg issues. My son has a png bag for his HS golf team and I recently picked up one as well (no logo) and hate to say I’m not sure I will try another Titleist until I see the leg issue is corrected. I really hate to say that, but it’s the ONLY thing that I have been disappointed with. I love everything else about the bag, unfortunately my son and I walk 80-90% of our golf and the droopy legs were very annoying

Good feedback. I always have a full set of clubs in the bag, but normally not a ton of gear other than that. I have realized that when the bag is more weighed down, the legs droop more. I also called Titleist and they recommended going into any retailer to get a warranty swap (was purchased less than a year ago). Only issue there, stock is still light at a lot of the golf shops here in WA! Will continue to play with the clip as well and update as I learn more.

i have solved this problem completely with a clamp that bolts onto and holds the leg springs snugly. it allows the springs to have slightly greater tension so they snap back beautifully.

the patent process isn't really viable for anything as simple as this.

Love the bag but this issue was starting to distract me. I made a fairly crude effort at fixing the problem with electrical tape and some cable ties. Seems to have worked. At least I can now concentrate on my next shot as I walk to the ball, as opposed to worrying about the sound of the legs bouncing around and slapping against the underside of the bag.

Sometimes even attempting to hold them with one hand whilst carrying the bag. Such a relief.

Hey! What I did to help fix it was to just readjust the leg brace might take awhile to get it at the sweet spot as all bags are different though! But taking it off and readjusting worked well for me :)
