Bought some Fj thermal gloves to play in as my hands were very cold.

Found them to be very disappointing not warm at all in fact normal leather glove as good

Agreed. Not worth the extra thickness. That’s why I use the Titleist players glove when it’s cold outside. I wear the Titleist cart mits in between shots to keep my hands warm. Got 2 feet of snow on Saturday, I am ready for spring!

I have a pair of those gloves in my bag and beg to differ. I do not use them because I just cannot get the feel when I hit my clubs with two gloves on. They are two thick for me. They are thicker than a normal glove and do provide some warmth, more than a normal golf glove. The thumb and index finger is made of leather like a normal glove but the rest insulation provides warmth through thin flexible layers of insulation. I assume you are referring to the FootJoy WinterSoft glove. Recommend wearing a cart mitt, maybe a Titleist when you are not hitting the golf ball. That is what I use with hand warmers inside and my regular FJ glove. My hands can handle the eight seconds of cold it takes to set up and hit a golf ball. With respect. =)

I have a pair of those gloves in my bag and find them ok. I definitely lose a bit of feel when wearing them but it is just winter golf after all

Like @James H, I find the gloves to be pretty good. You lose a little feel and they do take some getting used to. I only wear mine when the temperature is in the 30’s. The terry cloth material on the back can be handy when the nose starts running.

Put a couple of little hottie hand warmers inside your mitts about 20 minutes before tee off.
They are brilliant and last the whole round no problem ️‍♂️
