What's the best app for in-round GPS tracking that also pairs with the apple watch? I used to use golflogix but it's not free anymore. I tried SwingU, but it's not perfect.

Let me know what everyone is using

  2. Garmin golf is a great app

I am using 18 Birdies right now. I only use the free option but it does what it's supposed to. The yardages are pretty accurate. There are a lot more bells and whistles if you pay.

I used to use The Grint but I was having a ton of issues with it syncing with my watch and randomly starting golf rounds.

I just switched to, and paid for, Golf Logix and it's worth the $10 a month of you do play frequently with the features it gives you.

Being able to see the undulation of the greens from the approach shot on the phone app is a lot of help, and then placing your ball and the pin on the greens shot on the app to get a read is neat. I love that you can set club distances and the app gives you a club based off of distance and elevation.

The stat tracking they do is pretty deep, but you need to use your phone to input FIR, GIR, number of putts, hazards, etc., You can only add your hole score through the watch app. It's also a little bit annoying that it's so easy to hit the side scroll button on the watch and it changes holes.

I'd rather not have to keep unlocking my watch or switching back to the app for my yardage, but the features through the phone app make it worth the little inconveniences and the cost.

  7. V1 game with Apple watch swing detection. GPS tracking on the maps for review where you've walked around the course, and club tracking once the swing is done via the Apple Watch app, and it is free to use.

I've been using the free version of The Grint. Works really good and is very accurate (alot more accurate than I am...). Id like to switch to a watch type of tracking but haven't pulled the trigger.

Buy a pocket GPS like the Garmin and leave your phone in the car. You'll have a much better day.
