I got a new Titleist Player's 4 Stand bag last season with the intention to start walking more rounds, as my old bag's (not Titleist) legs gave out and wouldn't extend out on their own.

My buddy and I walked for the first time yesterday at a local course near Cleveland. It was soggy and muddy and wet, but it was so nice walking again and being able to focus more on th game and enjoy nature. I also shot surprisingly well for my first round this year.

I grew up caddying and really missed walking the course. I'm looking forward to logging some serious miles on foot this summer!

Great way to get some exercise. My favorite way to play, although many newer courses are built for real-estate and not very "walker friendly". Enjoy the new bag and the walks!

Agreed. There are only two courses in my area that aren't private where you can walk and only one of those allows you to walk on weekends. I picked up a Players 4 bag when covid was in full force because that's the only way that they would let you out on the course. Now I wish I had opportunities to play more rounds walking.

And not to mention how many strokes I have wasted being too lazy to walk back to the cart to get the right club when stuck with a "cart path only" day. :(

Great way to play. I also began walking this year each time. I also picked up the players 4 stand bag (TT offering last drop)to walk. Find I play more focused as well. My next test will be to get out on Bethpage Black again…
  6. Great way to enjoy the game, and the surrounding.

I started walking and carrying about 4 years ago, I had forgotten how good it feels to walk 18 holes. Not only is a great for health, I believe it keeps the pace of play steady.

    Congrats, Paul.

I used to walk with a golf trolley, but now I am carrying my golf bag.

Walking, in my opinion is the best way to enjoy the game! Lots of benefits, keep it up!

A great way to play this wonderful game and the way I used to be able to play it. I truly wish I could go back a few years, former heavy smoker, not be going on 76, do away with a bad back, bad hips, pulmonary issues and get off this cart but that is just not in the stars according to my doctors. Younger days have finally caught up with me, but on the bright side they tell me I can still play golf (which is questionable at times) with the assistance of a riding cart. I am envious that you can walk and congratulations. =)

Last years invitational will be a favorite memory. Being able to walk #2 and #4 just made you feel that was the way golf is meant to be played. Throw in a caddy and the experience is unbelievable. I must say though, I was happy to use a cart on #8 on Wednesday. I was definitely worn out by then. Can't wait to do it again someday.
