I, too, and a Bushnell fan but am using older models that still work well, a Tour V4 Slope Edition and a Z6. Love the red display in the Z6 except near dusk (maybe the V4 is the same at dusk?).

One thing to consider - I work at a private club. We have lots of rangefinders left on cars, some get claimed, some don't, and some (apparently) never get returned. Are you forgetful? Maybe something less expensive in case you leave it behind on the golf car.

Regardless of what you buy, get your name on it. Sharpie, P-touch label, something semi-permanent. I can't tell you how many members or guests can only tell us "It was white". Know what you have so if you lose it, you know what it was and don't say, "That looks like mine" when all Bushnells of a certain model look the same.

I put a label on mine that has my name, address and phone number. Same labels I have on all my golf clubs. I have a Bushnell with the magnet (Pro XE) and left it on the cart one morning and the next time I played the pro shop handed it to me when I checked in.

I have Blue tees and it works great. They don’t take a beating though. Battery is preferred by me rather than rechargeable. Much easier to keep a spare battery in the bag.

You can't go wrong with Bushnell, but I really like my Nikon Coolshot Pro II Stabilized. It's really helpful for locking in on the target on windy days or with not so steady hands

Had the Bushnell however difficult to hold steady. Picked up the Eagle Eye Range Finder and works great. Even when unable to hold steady the laser locks target and has jolt type technology. Also has slope that you can disengage if need be. Plus cost is less than 1/2 price the others.

As has been pointed out, there are a number of good options out there and you almost ‘can’t go wrong’ with any of them. My advice … put a label on both the rangefinder and the case. I use a P-Touch label, but then cover it with a layer of clear epoxy so that it doesn’t fall off and is difficult to remove. I also put some markings inside the battery compartment to further identify it.

Just got a Precision Pro NX10 (standard black skin, cuz I’m boring) and love it. Super clear, not a bunch of unnecessary info. Free lifetime battery replacement is a nice service too.

I bought one off of Amazon for $90 back in 2021 and it's still going strong. I get the same numbers as one of my playing partners Bushnell. I tend to find myself switching between the rangefinder, GPS app and yardage book depending on the course. If I'm playing my home course, i'll use the rangefinder with the yardage book if I need to get a pin distance.

Check out Pinned. Been using the new one this season and I love it. Compared it to my buddy's $400 RF and it was spot on.

Bushnell or Nikon Coolshot

I've had two Bushnell's and loved them both. It really just depends on how much you want to spend and if you are comfortable with the various options offered. Good luck.

I did a search years ago and purchased the Bushnell V3 when it came out. Have never regretted the purchase.

I use 2 different units: Bushnell Phantom (GPS) and Bushnell Tour V4. 90% of the time I just look at the GPS and pull the laser out only when I need really precise distance (typically 150yds and under).

The GPS really helps when it's cart path only, helps identify which 3 clubs I will still pull from the bag (and the laser comes with me then too).

I got a Nikon Coolshot Pro 2 Stabilized for Christmas..it's next level compared to the budget stuff I tried earlier last year.

I use the swoosh Rangefinder. A great choice is Bushnell Wingman. Connect cellphone, collect fairways and greens hit, putts per hole, score for4 or just you. Mounts to the cart easily and gives yardage from front, middle and back. Also will play music off of you phone as well. Great device for 200.

I second that. I had one but used my GPS more for this application and Wingman pretty much just for music. Sadly someone nicked it off my cart before Christmas, someone got a nice little gift.

I have a leupold and love it. But my buddy has the blue tee and it does more than mine and the optics are good. He got the bundle pack and the speaker is great.

I have the Bushnell V2 I am very happy with it. It was a great investment. I also have the Phantom 2 GPS which is excellent as well.
