Looking for some guidance from the TT community. I tend to get poison ivy every year and am going to start playing in pants year round. Of course, ideally if I would just keep it in play this would not be an issue; but I know my alleged skills. Ha! Let me know your recommendations for good hot weather pants that breathe and are comfortable.

I have some Adidas that are really lightweight and cool for summer. Also have a pair of Bonobos Performance Link 5 pocket golf pants that are the same.

Almost every manufacturer has lightweight golf pants made from thin, stretchy, polyester and spandex these days. Of course, I must recommend FootJoys while on this post. :) Just stay away from cotton or wool and you will do fine. Lighter colors will reflect sun and dark colors will attract heat so that is an important factor. White, grey, or tan will be best.

Many apparel companies offer lightweight technical fabric pants. Some offer modern, slimmer, tapered legs, but many will provide the traditional cut to allow your legs to move comfortably. Check your favorite brands and price out the ones you want to wear.

In FootJoys long pants, I would recommend their Performance Knit and Tour Fit Pants. In their shorts, definitely the Performance Lightweight Shorts. These are my go to as well as seersucker in this hot weather along the east coast of S Carolina. Very hot and humid.

I have gotten into the newer 5-pocket golf style in pants. Working in a pro shop, I wear long pants every day as part of the required look. Though I'm a big fan of anything Footjoy, I find the adidas Go-To 5-Pocket pants fit me perfectly. My FJs are just a tiny bit too tight in my corresponding size, but love their look otherwise. The FJs are promoted as a "slimmer fit." So are the adidas, but they aren't AS tight. I still have tons (20-30 pairs) of fairly new, more traditional style golf pants from both adidas and Footjoy, but since the 5-pocket craze began (for me last season), I have barely worn any of those others.

I get pants from Mizzen+Main. Wear them to work as well!

To go against my FJ lineup, Id say the most comfy pants Ive ever worn was Tommy Bahama silk trousers.. They wicked sweat and dried unbelievably fast.... There's no ball-hawking as they're snag magnets!

I recommend trying swoosh Dri-Fit UV Slim Fit. They also come in standard fit. They eliminate the poison ivy and give you sun protection as well.
  14. All though I don't need any more golf pants I tried the Adidas 5 pocket and I am sold! Can be worn everywhere, great overall fit.

If I am forced to wear pants when it’s warm out, I prefer the Under Armour Iso-Chill pants. They are specifically designed for the heat. Check them out.
