I do have some short shorts and high socks pictures from the late 70's early 80's but I don't dare post them. You live long enough and styles come around again... :)

My golf tan lines are bad enough with ankle socks...

I know a lot of people who wear socks like that. They were athletes who wore socks like that growing up and just kept the style going. Both my thing either.

I only wear crew socks, so if you're going to the Team Titleist Invitational at Streamsong this year you will see me wearing crew socks with my outfits haha. I wear higher socks because of hockey so it just became comfortable and a habit for me.

To each their own. I personally like the low cut, roll tab, FJ socks but if you're into the crew style make it happen.

It is an interesting look but not one I'm brave enough to wear. I'll stick with my ankle socks when I'm wearing shorts.

I don't begrudge someone that does it. My son loves the FJ 1/4 crew height. Originally he did the crew and pulled them practically up to his knees. He had the nickname "Jackie Highsocks" in his PGA Junior League team.

But for me, it's a no. A response above about tan lines being bad enough with ankle height - yeah that's me.

I’ve seen the style, not a fan. What people want to wear is their decision and choice. Do your thing!!

The kids on the HS golf team i coach always go with this look, even if coach gives them a couple fashion pointers LOL

Thumbs down on crew socks with shorts for me. Maybe for youngsters and people who live in Bermuda. Heck, I even wear barely-visible ankle socks (with roll tabs) with long pants most of the time. Footjoy or Bombas are my two favorites.

Crew socks with shorts are coming back around due to some basketball players wearing the style. Not saying it looks right, but I have seen some junior golfers wear crew socks and compression leggings on the course.

Hmmm. Easier to spot ticks and avoid some scratches in the high grass areas with crew socks. Must not be fashionable to hit too far afield of the fairway.

I typically wear fashion crew/midcalf socks under long pants in the winter time, depending on the temperature. FootJoy White Men's TechSof Tour RollTop when wearing the FJ Lightweight Shorts, for me. Like everything in life it is a choice. Maybe not be fashionable but your style and a choice.

Dale, maybe we will get plaid shorts and striped shirts to go with the knee highs. NOT!!!!!! We do see it every day on the courses, cruises and in our lovely city. The penalty of living in the number one tourist destination.

Go to most Junior golf Events and the kids have socks up to their knees.
Think of all that extra real estate to place logos and cool graphics.
