We get a few questions on here regarding golf shoes and I would like to address that with a recommendation and provide some pictures. This is a shoe that I have found to be very reliable, comfortable and dependable in all conditions. As a big guy I want something that is stable and will not make my feet feel like it has been a real task to play eighteen holes of golf. I have a part time gig working as a Tournament Support Rep (Tech Rep) for the District FJ Rep in my area (Myrtle Beach, Charleston, Hilton Head, Savannah) and we get good results with this shoe, because it is "so light", even with replaceable spikes, and a solid foundation. Have talked to a number of people who wear the Tradition shoe they have nothing but positive things to say about it. They come in a saddle shoe, which I have always been a fan off and still am, and a wing tip, which are really cool looking. The Tradition shoe is also available in the women's line of shoes. So next time you are wondering, give the Tradition a try on at your nearest store. They will look good with those Titleist clubs and bag. After all, we are all part of the Acushnet family. =)

The pictures below are two pair that are in my rotation of shoes. The one on the left is a custom MyJoy Desert Taupe Croc/White and other is the standard Navy/White.

Chuck, why is it that when someone else posts a FJ question or comment, you recommend that go the the FJ site? Just kidding my friend. I too love the Tradition. I have 4 pairs. All white, white/red, white/grey, and white/black (galaxy).

I'll answer that question ole' buddy. There use to be a community site on there where you could ask questions about products and such. FootJoy shut that site down a month of so ago. We use to have some fun on it posting pictures of our shoes, apparel, talking golf and anything FootJoy. As one of the 70 something Ambassadors worldwide, we miss having it. They use to have events for the Ambassadors to attend like the TT events and sent products for the Ambassadors to test. Think Todd and I attended the last invitation from FJ when we went to Cabot Cliffs/Links in Nova Scotia. Many of us are active on this site and attend the TT events. That is where I met the three in my profile picture. That picture of of us at the Players @ Ponte Verde, a TT event. Guess it is easier to answer the questions know if I know it. Enjoy the shoes. Good choice. Wish we could add pictures to other's post, but understand reasoning. Hope we have good weather next month. Cheers, pal.

Oh, and I just saw where the Traditions are now offered under MyJoys for custom colors. Excellent!

Yes, they are. Of those featured, the one on the left are MyJoys. MyJoy Desert Taupe Croc/White. Got them in about two weeks. Love to play around with the different colors and patterns. If my apparel order makes it in before the TTI, these will be in play at Streamsong.

Good information, Chuck. I know you sent me over there to the Footjoy Insiders discussion forum when I posted a review of the Fuel; that was some time ago and even then the last posts on the site were several months old. Good to know we have one site here for sharing Acushnet products and info.

Yes, I just had a meeting with our FJ CSR. (Have always been a FJ loyalist myself, just as I am a Titleist loyalist.) There are some great new looks coming out in 2023. I had a first hand, in-person look at many of the new styles, from shoes to shirts, outerwear and gear. Can't wait until it all begins rolling into our shop. The Traditions will have a few new options as well as be available in custom MyJoys, as Dale mentioned. I have my eye on the new spikeless versions for working in the pro shop.

Since the FJ site is discontinuing their community forums, it'd be great if we could start one here. After all, it is the same company as Titleist. Unfortunately, without the ability to post pics here, it sort of defeats the purpose.

No reason we cannot start it here. We cannot post pictures for our titleist products but that does not defeat the purpose of making the posts. If someone wants to start a post regarding their shoes or newly arrived apparel for comments, I do not think the TT moderators will mind. If they do they will let us know. Just another opinion.

I'll echo Chuck's sentiments about the FJ Community site, as I was one of the other 70ish FJ Ambassadors. The FJC was less formal since it was smaller, not that I would consider TT "uptight", but most of the ambassadors knew each other from either events on frequent site interaction.

And I'll support any recommendation of FJ shoes, it's the only thing I game. As another larger guy, I also recommend the Tour Alpha. Super stable, I sport the dual BOA - a little pricey - but with the dual BOA everyone can find their perfect fit.

Keith get out of GA and join us at one of the TT events. We should have about 100 TT members at Streamsong when we meet up next month. What an opportunity to meet and greet. These events are not just for Ambassadors, but open to all TT members. As you can see, TT is a very active and supportive site. You most likely would see a good number of the FJ guys and which some are now TT Ambassadors. To late to get in now, but watch for local events across the us. Miss our get together in MB. Our annual event is normally posted in the spring and normally fills up in about an hour or so. =)

I for one have a couple pair of Traditions and echo all of the positive comments. Combined to be one of the most comfortable and old school stylish looking FJ shoes ever. Highly recommend trying a pair if you are on the fence. You will not be disappointed!
