Looking at purchasing a new bag this year. Any thought on these 2 bags? Mainly ride or walk with a push cart. Carry is very seldom these days.

    Thanks

You will find loyal owners for each of these bags. It's really a personal choice of whether you like the individual dividers or the five section dividers. Some people with oversized grips have had issues with how tight they are in the 14 but other than that, go with your own personal preference. Good luck and enjoy the new bag.

I can't speak for the Hybrid 5, but I have the Hybrid 14 and love it. I usually ride in a cart, but have walked a few rounds from time to time. Very good quality!

I love my Hybrid 14. I didn't think I'd like the 14-way divider but have found that I really do like the fact that my clubs aren't getting tangled at the bottom of the bag and I know where each club is when I'm reaching for it. I also love that the 14 has a TON of storage space. I really liked the color combinations on the 14, as well.
  5. My personal opinion...I purchased a 14 last summer thinking that I would really like it now that I ride quite a bit. As it turned out, riding is the time that i didn't like it. When i would walk, it was just fine because I only took out one club at a time. But when I ride, I always grab a few clubs and walk to my ball instead of waiting for my cart partner. After holing out, I have to find the right slot for whatever approach club I pulled (sometimes multiple if I didnt have a distance yet) sometimes a couple of wedges in case i missed the green, and my putter. So it was more of a pain replacing clubs while riding. I was going to pick up the 5 way, but got a killer deal on a Players 4 Vokey bag at the end of the season. it's a little tighter getting clubs in while hanging on my back, but on a cart, or standing straight up, it's perfect. Good luck with your decision!

I game the Hybrid 5. Plenty of room for 14 clubs and fits nice on my electric bat caddy. On occasion if I want to carry i also carry the hybrid 5 with no issue.

I can't speak to the Hybrid5, but I do find there is a big issue with the Hybrid14....while it looks like it will sit very nicely on a power cart, when I tested it on the ClicGear 4.0 at a PGA Superstore this past weekend, the top of the legs sit right up against the top of the upper saddle, no matter how the saddle was configured. It really did not sit well at all. This really disappointed me as I was ready to pull the trigger until that point. I use the ClicGear 4.0 for 75% of my rounds, so the fit is important for this part. The reason I was looking at the Hybrid 14 is for the times that I ride and cannot get my cart to the range or putting green. The stand feature was what I was looking forward to the most. I guess I will keep the Cart14 as it better serves most of my needs, though not 100%.

I have the Hybrid 5. I mostly ride or use a push cart. I don't care for the 14 slots as I can change clubs depending on the course (3i vs an extra wedge, etc.).

I did have a small issue with the top of the legs hitting up against the top mount of my cart. I just made an insert out of hard foam that allows my bag to sit flush against the saddle and prevents any rotation.

Other than that small issue it's a great bag.

Based on what you said in your post, "Carry is very seldom these days", I offer you a 3rd option. I recently bought the Hybrid 5, and due to the weather, still haven't used it yet. However, I recently took an evaluation of my own game and realized I don't carry anymore either. I got to looking at the other bag options, and really like what is being offered with the Cart 15. It has a ton of pockets for storage (rain gear, etc), 2 lined valuables pocket - 1 with magnetic closure, a lined cold/hot pouch, a pass through for the cart strap - and for club storage, it has a separate putter well. After seeing the options, I now have my unused Hybrid 5 on the local marketplace, and will be getting the Cart 15 as soon as the Hybrid sells. I didn't mean to add more confusion to your decision, but maybe consider the Cart 15 as an option since you don't carry as often anymore.
