  1. I have always used a carry bag since I started golf and still use one, but lately I have considered picking up a cart bag.

In my groups there has always been a stigma against them and they have been seen as a bag style for the older golfers out there. I am on the younger side at 29 and when I play I use a cart or push cart and almost never carry my bag. I like the extra pockets and additional room that a cart bag would provide.

Am I crazy for considering a cart bag?

Not crazy at all. The reason I always used a stand bag is because I walked and carried on my shoulders. I rarely used a pull cart. I just bought my first cart bag as everyone in my new neighborhood drives their own personal golf carts. I will be getting mine soon. If you walk with a pull cart, definitely use the bag that works best for you.

I had a cart bag but found the lack of legs to be a problem. I now have a Hybrid 14 - I mostly walk with a push cart ( injured shoulder dosent make sense to stress with carrying ) or when I need to , use a cart. Still plenty of pockets but having the legs like a stand bag is very convenient, more than I thought previously

I have the Hybrid 14 as well. I love it as it works well with either a push cart or a regular golf cart.

You are not crazy. I switched from a stand bag to the Titleist mid size tour bag (I know its not a cart bag) But I love the extra room. I also use a push cart or ill rent a cart.
  7. I like my cart bag a lot, Titleist makes some incredible options!

I have used a cart bag in past, when, I rode more than I walked. I mostly walk now, so, I use a stand bag on a push cart. If you want a cart bag, go for it, though, be aware cart bags for carts don't always setup the same on a push cart.

I use the Vessel Players III bag. A hybrid carry bag that fits on a cart. I prefer to walk but sometimes you have no choice.

I have a staff stand bag that is a few years old, but I typically ride with my regular group. My next bag is definitely going to be a cart bag, possibly the Tour bag since I carry a lot of junk…

I’ve always used a cart bag. I’m the older side (54) and now considering a stand bag. I’m interested in the hybrid models.
Maybe that something you might also consider. I like that it will still fit on my push cart and I can use it at the range without the cart

Tyler, I personally prefer to walk, HOWEVER, What ever keeps you playing and ENJOYING golf is what you should be doing. Who Knows, you might, start a change with in your normal playing group to consider this as well.

There are so many great choice out there. I know a lot of people who ride 90% of time, but will have a carry bag for travel only. Using their cartbags home their home course or courses.

First...you do you. There shouldn't be any shame in using whatever bag you want to use. The good thing for us is Titleist has an excellent selection of bags that will satisfy any preference.

I have had a cart bag for years now. Perfect for riding (obviously) but I mostly use mine with a push cart. One of the guys I play with regularly even went to the cart bag after seeing mine. Like you said you can't go wrong with the extra pockets!

My goto is my players 4 bag so even if I’m in a cart playing with a foursome and we only have 2 carts if my ball is nowhere near the other players I can pop my bag off the cart and carry it a bit if needed during a round.

No, perfectly fine to join the Push Cart Mafia. I have a Titleist Players 4 Carbon which is really lite and I like to walk. On those days I want to use my push cart, I have a bigger bag. The other 3 guys in my regular foursome ride the gas carts. We are all in our 60's and 70's. There isn't any stigma about what bag you use, so I'd suggest you use the bag that makes the most sense to you, as long as it's a Titleist, ha ha. All the best.

I recently bought a Hybrid 5 stand bag. I thought I would be walking and riding. If being honest with myself, as I get older, and with long, hilly courses in my area, I am going to be riding 99% of the time. With the weather as it has been, I haven't even used my Hybrid 5 bag yet, and actually recently put it online for sale. Why, you may ask? I saw the cart 15 bag being offered by Titleist. I love the number of pockets for storage, club placement, and separate putter well. Consider the courses you play, do you ride or walk more, and what is practical for your game? As for me, when I sell my Hybrid 5 soon (hopefully), I'll be getting the cart 15.
  19. Thanks for all the great responses everyone! we will see which direction I go closer to when the snow starts melting up here haha!

I use a Cartbag 15 and really like all the room it has. And it looks fantastic on the cart!

Get a MacKenzie bag and carry, you’re too young to ride a cart.

You are young and saving you back is important. Walking and using a push cart can prevent that for years to come. I would highly recommend getting a Titleist cart bag to go with a good lightweight push cart. Clicgear makes some of the lightest on the market. They are on the upper end but worth every penny and the customer service is second to none. Before my pulmonologist informed me that walking was no longer an option, that is what I used. Cannot go wrong with the Cart 14 or 15 bag. I have a Cart 14 bag and it has everything I need in a bag.
