I just received the new Stars and Stripes hat and it is extremely small even when adjusted all the way out. It looks like Charlie Chaplin's hat. I have many Titleist hats and cannot understand the size variations even in the adjustable hats. My hat size is 7 5/8. Last year I attended a TT event and also got a hat fit for a child. Please put some R&D into your hats the way you do balls and clubs.

I would say that the hat you received at the TT event was an adult size, designed to adjust to fit most average sized adults. Just because your head falls in the larger spectrum, it's a bit degrading for you to call everyone elses head size as "child" size. Titleist makes some hat models in styles better suited for large but there is no way to make one hat that adjusts from the largest to the smallest head size. Try Tour Stretch Tech Fitted XL/XXL or the Oceanside and Diego models fit larger.

Did you get the tour validated ones
All my Titleist hats seem to be pretty similar fit. Maybe they sent you the women's hat by mistake.

Very interesting to hear about this. I just bought a hat from a golf shop thinking it would be like all the rest I have only to find that even after adjusting it all the way out it still squeezes my brain!

I just purchased a tour elite hat on line, and the same situation. Compared to my other fitted hats (also the same size) is child like size.

Most of the hats you get at the TT events are the trucker hats. adjustable with plastic snap on. I have issues with having a big head, no comments please, Dale. Have always worn XXL or Size 8 in the Tour Elite or TourFit hats and know which to order. I usually give away my hats at the TT events because they do not fit me. I have to special order my hats thru my local Titleist account and not always easy to get. In the beginning I tried on a lot of styles at my local Titleist shop to ensure that I got the correct fit. There are only a couple of styles that I can wear thru trial and error and just pay the higher price and enjoy the fact that Titleist does have a hat that fits me. I never purchase a hat before I am sure it fits. In a dozen of hats they all may not fit the same, due being mass produced. True of most all manufactured products and would be very noticeable in a hat, especially for those of us with fit issues. If I go to try on a new hat in a store, I try them all on. Just one observation and what has worked for this "big head', in size that is. =)

I looked at the illustration of the Stars and Stripes hat and it is definitely has a snap on back which is for an average person. Personally, I could never wear one of those. Agree with my right honorable friend, Dale. The TT hats are for the average golfer. I give my TT hats to my buddies who are happy to get them and they fit them perfectly. I buy the XL/XXL and 8 sizes and am perfectly happy with my collection. Just sorry I have missed out on the TT hats at the events. Hakuna matata.

I didn't say other people's heads were child like. I said this hat was sized that way. Please see others comments below. They have seen the same variation. I love Titleist as much as anyone else but it doesn't mean they're perfect.

I also find this happening to me. Unfortunately I have committed to only buying hats in person to make sure i get the fit i want.

I am with you on this one. The Titleist hats are on the small side and can vary from same style different color. Case in point - their flat bill hat from last year. I bought several colors from their website when it came out and for some reason, only the color white was the perfect fit. After further investigation, i found out that the reason is because of the country where it was manufactured. The white one was made in China, and all the other colors that didn't fit well or looked too small where from Vietnam.
  12. Ive had the exact same experience. Hats a comical in sizing. XXL fits like a skull cap. My hat size is 7 5/8th even their fitted hats don’t fit right. All their hats run very small and shallow.

I too have a gigantic dome! It's comforting to see fellow large domed compadres on here with the same complaint. I ordered two of the Tech Stretch hats last year and they look amazing, but even the xl/xxl didn't fit, it was like a swimmers latex cap! I was so disappointed. I have good luck with the xl/xxl Tour Mesh or Sports Mesh fitted hats. I have yet to find a snap back hat that fits at all. Oh well.

I think it's tough for Titleist to make an adjustable hat that truly fits all hat sizes. I wear a 7 5/8 or 7 3/4, depending on the brand (oddly enough even though it says one of those sizes, the fit is still different. Where the hat is manufactured plays a big role, but it's still surprising that 2 hats that are sized 7 5/8 can fit differently).

The TrueFit hats from Titleist size 7 5/8 fits me well. Some XL/XXL hats fit me well too, but not all of them. I will say I got a few XL/XXL hats from BP3 with the Team Titleist logo on them and they fit really well too.

Another large noggin here. I generally only wear the sized hats (7&5/8ths for me). I can get away with the XL/XXL sized hats but they are generally pretty hard to find for whatever reason. My kids love it when I go to TT events - they know they are getting new hats!

I'll add my $0.02 to this thread. My head is smaller in size and I often find that most hats are too big... so I usually get the fitted S/M or M/L but I second the idea that I only get hats in person where I can try them on.

Being I do wear a size 8, here are some that I would recommend, that I know fit me and wear in the spring and fall. In the summer I wear the aussie style hats for maximum protections from the sun here in the south.

    Tour Elite XL/XXL
    Tour Stretch XL/XXL
    Players Performance Ball Marker Adjustable

We were provided ample sized hats at the TTI event in Scottsdale this year. Did not have to give a single one away this year. No more truckers hats and a big thank you. They all fit perfectly and were awesome. Lisa done good.
  18. I always go for the SnapBacks as I love the deeper fit to them.

I’ve been lucky and found all the hats I’ve bought fit fine.

I prefer fitted hats. I'm a 7 5/8. I feel that the fitted hats from 7 or 8 years ago were a truer fit then they are now. I take a L/XL and some of the Tour Mesh fitted L/XL are too large for me. Fortunately, I have a Golf Galaxy just a few miles from home, so I can go there and try on their large selection of Titleist fitted hats. While we are on the fitting subject, I also find the same problem with the Titleist Players gloves. I'm a Cadet M/L and can about 3 or 4 gloves per dozen that fit me properly. I realize that hats and gloves are made overseas but the quality control as far as fitting goes, needs to be checked.

Dang, you sure we aren't related? LOL I find the same issue with the gloves. Doesn't matter if it's Titleist Players or Foot Joy StaSof. The fit isn't consistent.
  21. I've got a small head..funny enough being 6'1 225lbs and I buy the Jr tour hats or s/m in bucket hats too. Which leaves my out for TT drops unfortunately
